The best meal I have ever had there. The place was packed so service was a little slower than usual but, we started off with drinks and they were not those watered down drinks that dont taste like they have any alcohol in them. Then we had mozzarella sticks for appetizers. They were fresh hot and delicious with a fabulous marinara to dip them in. Just the right amount of flavor. I had a cup of the cream of broccoli soup. It was very flavorful, however not very creamy, more chicken brothy and one piece of broccoli and a few little sprigs in it. Then we had a basic garden salad. I tried the home made blue cheese dressing and my girlfriend had the french. She liked her salad, I however was not impressed with the homemade blue cheese. Very runny and not much flavor. (This was the worst part of the meal and if a salad is all you can pick on than it was a success). She had the prime rib and baked potatoe with a vegetable medley. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, it had great flavor, and was so tender you could cut it with a spoon. She loved the flavor of the vegetable medley as well with the fresh zucchini and summer squash seasoned perfectly. I had the eggplant parmigiana casserole. The flavor was spot on! I have to say I never had egg plant sliced in strips before instead of round medallions, but no matter how it was put together it was fabulous and the center stayed hot all the way through eating it, which never happens. Overall I was very...
Read more3/25/24 Next honest review: I got the avgolemono soup featured this past weekend. I found the chicken to be stringy and dry. I was unable to detect any lemon. It seemed more like a regular chicken and pasta soup to me. That said, it was just too salty. In general, I would love it if the folks cooking dialed back on the salt a bit.
3/14/24 Edit: I've upped my stars from 3 to 4. :) Last night we got the herbed half-chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, turkey gravy and mixed veggies as takeout. It was great! The chicken was moist and tender, the potatoes were prefect, the gravy was good and the veggies (onion, pepper, zucchini and yellow squash) were well cooked and delicious....and I have leftovers to make a soup-for-2 for dinner tonight. We would definitely get this again. I hope Jimmy D's gets more on top of posting their daily specials on Facebook. We would do this more regularly if it were easier to know what the specials are. :)
ORIGINAL: Some great dishes. We particularly like their gyros. It's a friendly local eatery serving classic diner food with a...
Read moreJust moved to the area. Been here a couple times before, no issues. Food was decent. Who I thought to be the owner and wife were very friendly. However, the last time I was there, my fiancée and I walked in the door and were waiting to be seated. This guy, who appears to be the dishwasher or cook, is staring at my finance not breaking eye contact, walks up to my finance and asks her how she’s doing tonight, completely ignoring me, with a creepy smile in his face. Ok, weird, whatever. The host seats us and this guy is now staring at me from behind the counter. Blatantly staring. So I stare back until he looks away. Minutes later, he walks up to the table staring creepily at my fiancé. Finally I can’t take it anymore and I ask him what he’s staring at. He proceeds to argue with me, telling me he’s the owner, then goes off on a tangent in another language. We didn’t stay for dinner, we got up and left. Staring at women in such a creepy manner is not a good way to attract business. It’s rude, creepy and disrespectful. And bc of this, we won’t...
