Maverick's — Restaurant in Town of New Lebanon

We used Mavericks for our wedding breakfast catering (at the Ruins at Sassafrass in New Lebanon NY) at the end of October, and we couldn't be happier with the entire process. We had them cater breakfasts for both the grooms party and the brides party, and the farewell brunch the next morning. They also did desserts for the wedding reception.

Chris, the owner, was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish! His kindness and responsiveness made the entire process seamless. On the big day, he not only hand delivered the delicious breakfast on time, but also handled the setup flawlessly. It was such a relief to have someone so professional and attentive ensuring everything ran smoothly. We're truly grateful for Chris' dedication to making our day perfect!

The farewell brunch was for 30 guests, and Chris made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was raving about his homemade sauces, and they still are! From the perfectly sweet and smoky Maple Sriracha sauce to the chipotle aioli, each sauce added a burst of flavor that elevated the entire breakfast experience.

If you are looking for allergy friendly desserts for your wedding – this is the place to get them! I let Chris know that we needed gluten-free and dairy free desserts, and his wonderful wife, Sara, absolutely delivered! Our guests are still complementing the variety of desserts, and how delicious each one was! We ended up having apple walnut Blondies, gluten-free truffle brownie bars, maple French toast cupcakes, dairy free cupcakes, and delicious gluten-free chocolate chip cookies. Not only were the desserts delicious – they were super budget friendly!

12/13/24 Back again and happy to report the Maverick's remains THE STELLAR BREAKFAST/LUNCH SPOT FOR OUT OF THIS WORLD SANDWICHES! The Mark Five gets high marks as does the Smoked Salmon. Bagels and flavored cream cheese for sale. Mega yum...Can't wait to return. Stellar staff made us out of towners feel so welcome! Thank you!

The local food bank refrigerator is here sharing produce and prepared foods with anyone who needs it with no questions asked. Great community service.

11/6/23 Had to return for more smoked salmon on everything bagel sandwiches with all the trimmings to go. Managed to travel all the way to Scranton, PA before enjoying this excellent meal. See photo of sandwich freshly unwrapped. I am not a "sandwich person", but I think Maverick's smoked salmon bagel has converted me! Thank you. Alas, I live 12 hours away so I will have to wait until my next visit to return, but I definately will be back.

11/4/23 Awesome cafe with gracious staff. Husband/wife team welcome you and serve up fantastic sandwiches. The lox on everything bagel was absolutely delicious! A variety of coffees, beverages, and pastries available. Nice sitting area. These folks also host the local food bank cooler. A Small Town Gem with a Big Heart I recently visited Maverick’s Deli in a charming small town and my experience was nothing short of exceptional, compelling me to give a rare 5-star review! The first thing that caught my eye was the generous giveaway for the needy right outside - a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about the community spirit here.

Inside, the ambiance is unassuming with just two people running the show. But don’t let that fool you. The man behind the counter, who I learned is the owner, was a maestro in sandwich-making. He swiftly assembled five mouthwatering meals within minutes, infusing each sandwich with meticulous care that you could taste in every bite.

We ordered four sandwiches and drinks, and the bill was just $51. Given the quality, quantity, and the heartwarming experience, it felt like a steal. It's rare for me to award 5 stars, especially with my thousands of reviews under my belt. I usually dock a star for ambiance, but the combination of the owner’s dedication, the delicious sandwiches, and the value for money made it an easy decision this time.
