Del's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Newburgh

Unexpected treasure! Awesome value for your money! Despite looking like a tired, dated, nondescript roadside convenience stop, this place has GREAT fresh-cooked LUNCH food! 🤩 We were hungry after a 3 hour River tour and didn't want to break the bank at the schmancy Riverbank eatery, so we drove on hoping for something better than fast food.

We stopped here in desperation with low expectations. WOW! It looked unassuming, but DELICIOUS smells greeted us. There was a freshly roasted pork shoulder that we practically drooled over as they sliced into it. We tasted a few other primarily Indian dishes that were moderately spicy and also decided to get the curry chicken. Both were offered with very flavorful black beans and "dirty" style rice with onions. We got extra to bring home. I'm sorry this place is so far from home!

Only took off a star because the facility looks off-putting. Perhaps that's the locals' way of ensuring all the day trippers don't eat up all the great food! The folks working there are very nice and we couldn't stop...

Del's is a normal little deli at the end of my road. I think it will be nice once the renovations are complete. The parking lot is big and I think truckers along 9W like that. The serve a great BEC (Bacon, Egg, and Cheese). The guy that runs it is very friendly. I forget his name but he's a nice guy. Sometimes there are deer in the field behind the deli, which I like. I do wish people wouldn't dump their garbage at the Clothing Drop Box in the Parking Lot. Also, I hope they include fixing up the rear outside of the store with the renovations. Most people can't see it from the front but I live down the road and from behind it looks dumpy. Other than that Del's is a great little corner store. It would be nice if they had gas pumps but then it would be crowded and it's already difficult to pull out onto 9W at any...

First time trying this place out for my family and myself. We ordered through DoorDash and had it delivered. The French toast was OK but way too soggy and the side of scrambled eggs for the kids were very undercooked. My breakfast sandwich on a bagel was mediocre. I’ve had better at gas stations which is unfortunate considering you guys call yourselves a deli; so you would think you’re getting something which should taste better. Last but not least, my husband got a Sobo Where are you can get a hash brown on your sandwich and this picture is the hash brown they chose to put on the sandwich. Completely burnt and hard as a rock. I would not send that out the door and definitely not take pride in my food if I was the owner. Will NOT be...
