Having spent many years working in every state in Mexico (far beyond the tourist zones), and having tirelessly scoured everywhere between the U.S. coasts for the most authentic taquerias and taco trucks, I consider myself something of a taco connoisseur. My quest for the perfect taco has been a long one, often leading me off the beaten path in search of those hidden culinary gems. So, imagine my trepidation upon moving to Western New York, a region where the Latino restaurant scene is notably smaller than anywhere I've lived in the last twenty years. I nearly panicked at the thought of being unable to find that authentic taco experience I've come to love. That was until I discovered Manito Taco Shop.

From the first bite, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. Manito Taco Shop is the real deal, a rare find in an area not known for its Latino cuisine. The barbacoa and carnitas tacos, with their slow-cooked brisket and pork, respectively, nestled between doubled-up corn tortillas that I'm confident are freshly made in their kitchen, are nothing short of a revelation. Each visit confirms that the quality and flavor of their offerings remain unmatched.

What sets Manito Taco Shop apart, even more, is the atmosphere and service. The establishment is impeccably clean, and the owners, alongside their staff, are exceptionally attentive and friendly. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction.

Living 26 minutes away has not deterred me in the slightest; the drive is always worth it. To anyone craving an authentic taco experience in Western New York, look no further than Manito Taco...

It’s been so long since I’ve been to Manito since moving away. Been coming here since it was a brand new small food truck and waiting in line, in the snow for the delicious tacos. It’s so awesome to see how far they have come since then with the beautiful building they now have and the setup. The dining area is great and it’s got an open kitchen concept with is awesome. They’ve now won multiple awards and are just killin it and I couldn’t be happier for them!! So of course when coming home for vacation I had to stop in for some amazing food! I love birria tacos I get them a lot from different places but the birria tacos from Manito’s Completely stood out! INCREDIBLE!! The flavors just reach right out and grab you….unbelievably good! With that I got the shrimp taco because once again it’s just so good it blows any other shrimp taco I’ve ever had right out of the water! My fiancé finally got her first shrimp taco and she talked about it for the rest of the day! Couldn’t believe how good it was! The owners are the sweetest and funniest people! They truly care that all of their customers have a top notch experience when coming in. I could not recommend this place more people!! You Have Got to get in here and get some amazing food! The owner who works the register normally will give you a very warm welcome! Also their churros with the chocolate dip are SO DAMN...

Stopped by Manitos early morning and was disappointed it was closed. The manager came out and greeted me and let me know they would open at 11 am. I returned late evening for dinner and was not disappointed. The tacos are overflowing with meat and you have a choice of about 10 different toppings for the tacos. I had carnitas and al pastor today in corn tortillas. The meat is very flavorful and tender. Ordinarily I don't like corn tortillas but these were very tasty and complimented the meat very well. Come hungry as these tacos are great and filling. I will be returning as much as I can for some more tacos.

After returning on Wednesday for lunch and dinner I have now found my new favorite restaurant in the Lockport area. I will definitely be eating dinner here as much as I can. The owner is very friendly and personable, the food is great, with lots of flavors and large portions. I would definitely recommend Manitos Taco Shop to anyone wanting...
