I had the Chicken Francese - a lemon butter chicken that was incredibly moist, but delicately breaded. The green beans were fresh, the salad was crisp, the dressing was freshly made, and the coffee beans were ground fresh to make my smooth-as-silk coffee. They do serve wines and beers and all the food is cooked in a French style. I would really recommend the cherry poppers if you like a little spice.
The atmosphere is very cozy and Colonial - it makes you WANT to dress nicely! The prices are higher than normal in the area (about $25 - $30 a person for a soda and entrée, $7 - $10 for an appetizers), but so is the quality of the food! Instead of trying to saw through the edges of an overcooked chicken breast or chomping on a chicken patty you would find at your kid's school, you actually get a perfectly cooked chicken breast coated like the chicken sandwiches you see on the KFC commercials ... you, know... the ones you see that make you want to buy the sandwich, but when you order one, well...you know. My date ordered a Veggie Primavera in a butter and wine sauce, and the noodles and veggies were cooked to perfection - not to soggy, not raw, but just al denté.
This is a perfect place for dinner reservations for that special celebration, anniversary, birthday, or prom...but I would HIGHLY recommend you make reservations well in...
Read moreThe meal I had here was hands down the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. Despite having only one table in the restaurant, the wait staff (there were two) was rude about me ordering. When I went to the kitchen to mention the order, the door was open and I could hear them complaining about making it. I made no special requests and ordered right off the menu and it was not a complicated dish. The pasta was cold and had virtually no flavor. It was given to me at room temperature. I figured it would take a while to make, but after a long time, once I received it, I realized it had just been sitting there. Thw waitresses had only one table and nobody could give me my food hot. While the food sat there in the bag, they left the salad with it. As the food cooled down, the salad turned to mush. Plus, bread with no butter! It was actually so bad that I didn't even care what it cost, I just threw it out. I went to the gas station down the road and got a sandwich that was actually edible. I highly suggest you save your time, energy and money and...
Read moreDined with my husband and another couple for the first time. It was a very cozy friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a huge selection of pasta, steak, and chicken dishes. My husband and I ordered the lasagna. It was a large portion. Although there was some ground meat in the lasagne, we ordered meatballs and sausage on the side. My husband loved the lasagna and was already talking about coming back before he finished. The sauce was a little on the sweet side for me as I prefer spicy but it was good with the added meatballs. Our friends ordered the chicken alfredo. They raved about the alfredo sauce. They said they would like to just order the sauce because it was that good. For me the highlight was the homemade bread. It was fabulous!!! Planning a return trip to try...
