Avocado Cafe — Restaurant in Town of North East

ZERO STARS if I could… I called ahead of time to see if they were open on a Sunday and if we can dine in, the girl who worked there said yes. We get there 45 mins later, the “Open” sign was on and door was open, we were greeted by what look like to be the cook, we said hello back and sat down. I hear the cooking lady yelling in Spanish to someone in the back to come out. Someone finally comes out and it’s a young waitress who begins to talk discreetly to the cook. The waitress tells us “ sorry but we are closed” I told her I just spoke to someone here 45 mins ago and they said you’re open. She says they were closing early because of the rain. I just replied WOW… Didn’t offer us to at least order take out or anything… I’ve spent $50/$60 each time in the past. Needless to say they lost out on money and future customer… mom and pop businesses around here wonder why they...

I used to love coming here for lunch. If this was just about the food, 5 stars all day. They don't "open" until 12 now, and sometimes don't even answer the phone at 12. Most of us in town have a lunch break that starts at 12, so we really need to place an order before so that we can get back to work on time. A lot of time's I will wait until 12 to order, and they still don't answer the phone. At that point, I've lost my opportunity to order from somewhere else due to the time.

I wish they would open at 11:30 and pick up the phone. I would probably eat...

Totally fulfilled my nacho craving, super generous toppings. Particularly great rice / salsas that came on the side of our order. I ate vegetarian tonight and was super satisfied, though the meat options smelled awesome when we walked in. Great small business and awesome food. Glad we stopped by to try out Avocado Cafe!

To note, the online ordering said it wasn’t working so we gave a call to put the order in and they picked up right away. Pick up only right now given covid but there were a couple picnic...
