The Golden Buck — Restaurant in Town of Ovid

Don't expect much in the way of décor, but this is a fine "tavern style" neighborhood restaurant. Specials for the night included a haddock filet done either Cajun or pepper/lemon style. I had the pepper/lemon & it was a very good tasting piece of fish.....fried onion rings & sweet potato fries were also very good. Wife had a large salad with sliced steak which she enjoyed very much. The other couple with us also enjoyed their meals; service was very good; there's a good selection of local wines & beer from the full bar; & very reasonable prices. Not much else in town, but you won't be disappointed...

We were a table of 6 and had excellent service! The food was delicious. We ordered the salmon, haddock, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, a salad, and a burger, and everything was cooked perfectly! The cheesecake and brownie sundae for dessert hit the spot. Highly recommend...
