The Lessing's Group continues to impress me with service, food and overall dining experience at all of their restaurants.
I had not dined at the Bethpage golf course in quite a few year. I always enjoyed the outside dining area on a nice evening, but was never overwhelmed by the food. Well that has certainly changed! I understand that the Lessing's Group bought this restaurant a few years ago and there is definitely a big difference!
Let me start with our server Alysa. She was superb! She was a wonderful personality, provided great suggestions and extremely professional. She really had a wonderful style. So much so that by the end of the meal it was almost like she was part of our family! One of the most positive things about our dining experience today was that Alysa was our server. If I owned a business, I would want Alysa to be one of the faces of my business. She is really a bright star!
The manage Edgar was also top notch. He was old school in his approach to his customers and really cared about our satisfaction. At the end of the meal he even bought us a round of drinks. It was really unexpected and he truly appreciated.
As for the food, it was very good. Not just pub food, but dishes that were kicked up a notch. The Cauliflower Pizza Crust with Figs, Goat Cheese and Balsamic was outstanding! The wings were super flavorfull. My Sonic Salad with Strawberries -Cheese-Walnuts & Salmon was wonderful. The pretzel appetizer was one of the best pretzels we have ever had....Finally my dad's Heritage Burger was terrific.
It was really a fantastic dining experience and I can't...
Read moreI ordered avocado toast and as soon as I ate it, I chewed on something like a piece of white plate. My friends were shocked when they heard about it. I called the waitress and showed her. She went to the kitchen with it and said that the chef didn't know about it. To be honest, my teeth hurt a little and I couldn't eat the food anymore because I was worried that I would chew it again. When my friend told the waitress that my tooth almost broke, she opened the napkin I had spit on and swung it around with her fork and got annoyed at us, asking where it was. Of course, I was upset. I came with my friends and I didn't want to ruin the mood. After my friends finished eating, I asked for the check. She said that she had deducted the food I had ordered from my bill and brought the check. It came to $19. Honestly, I didn't want to tip her because she was rude and unfriendly, but I left $2. As we were leaving the restaurant, she sarcastically told us not to come here again, saying that she didn't even take the bill for the food and that she didn't know what a $2 tip was. Is it normal for a waitress to tell me not to come back because she deducted money for food I couldn't eat and didn't give me an apology and told me not to come back because I gave her a small tip? I was so angry and asked the waitress what her name was and she said what my name was and told me not to come back. I felt like she was ignoring me because I'm Asian and my English is not good. I really want to tell her that if you want a tip, you have to...
Read moreI went there as a guest for an event. Even though my GPS made me circle around that location twice, and after asking one of the maintenance person, I found the location which was located at the end of the Street (leading into the center). It's a beautiful place to hold the event. The entrance is beautiful as it has mirrored wall on both sides. A nice thing to have and good place for photos (if you are good not to include your self through reflection). It has multiple rooms which can be used for any reason. The main hall is large enough to host approximately 400 guests theater style which also looks out to the Golf course. Outside decorations are nice with...
