1933 Pub and Etery — Restaurant in Town of Parma

I really wanted to like this place because it looks decent from the road and seemed like it could be a nice new local spot to grab a drink. Unfortunately, my experience at the 1933 Pub was one of those nights that just leaves you shaking your head on the drive home.

First off, the parking lot isn’t even finished. I don’t know if they rushed to open or just didn’t care to finish the job, but it’s uneven, poorly lit, and full of spots that feel half done — loose gravel, dips, and patches of asphalt that don’t line up. When I stepped out of my car, I literally almost tripped over a chunk of raised pavement that looked like it had been left mid-project. There were no cones or warning signs anywhere. Not exactly the first impression you want walking into a new place.

Inside, the atmosphere is… odd. The staff was just strange overall — kind of standoffish, like they didn’t really want to be there, but also oddly defensive if you asked a simple question. It’s hard to describe, but it didn’t feel welcoming at all. When we tried to order food, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. It wasn’t busy either, so it’s not like they were slammed or stressed out.

The food was forgettable. Standard bar fare, but nothing was seasoned right or even hot when it arrived. My burger looked fine but had zero flavor, and the fries were cold like they’d been sitting for a while. For what they charge, you expect at least something a step above frozen food.

By the time I left, I was mostly just disappointed — not angry, just frustrated that this could’ve been a cool spot if it were run differently. Between the weird staff vibe, the unsafe parking situation, and the general lack of care in how the place is managed, I honestly can’t recommend it. Maybe they’ll get it together down the road, but right now, it feels like a rushed, half-finished idea that’s already starting to fall apart.

First off, the owner welcomed us with a huge smile. This was an absolute amazing experience. We loved everything about this place. The staff had helping arms for our wild toddlers and all of our needs. Food was absolutely fantastic. We tried a few apps and got some drinks. The frickles and clams casinos was everything I ever imagined. So impressed with how fresh and flavorful that 1933 sauce was on some wings!!! Exceeded my expectations and we even met the chef! What a great guy who’s clearly passionate about his work! You can tell with how amazing the whole menu looks. Definitely will be back!! Even the pricing shocked me!! Went to check out this place. I got served a warm flat piture of beer. Then the tipacle frozen bar food came as i was smelling suadge. Turns out because their was a back up of the pipeing suare line. My wife witness the farmasist from the next building over peeing behing the dumpster as she was on the patio smoking a cig. The locale regulars were already hamered at 4:30 obnoxious as hell... absolutely annoying. Im never returning... i will give this place...
