Aurora Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Penfield

If it were possible to rate a zero, I would. I don't even know where to start.... I ordered three different lunch meals for my family and myself, hoping that I had finally found a decent Chinese restaurant in the area. Each one was worse than the other. All were tasteless. The fried rice was bland and mushy. The egg foo young was the consistency of a sponge and the gravy for it appeared to be some sort of soy sauce/cornstarch slurry. It was as if they removed the flavor from everything! The twice cooked pork tasted like nothing. How many ways can I say that there was no flavor to a single item!? By far the worst Chinese take out (or any food for that matter) that I have ever eaten. I am not exaggerating. Needless to say, I will never order from...

I am a fan of take-out style Chinese food and hands down Aurora is the best. Their portions are plenty (always a nice bit of leftovers) which I prefer.

The food is not extra greasy like some places can be and they are very nice. They are super great with curbside pick up and I’ve had delivery from them too.

I usually get the same thing :sesame chicken and crispy spring rolls, egg foo young and such. They have pork buns and they are fantastic.

I am going to start trying some more “traditional” menu items from them.

There’s something about this place that sets it above the other Chinese restaurants in the city with similar menus. I’ve had Chinese takeout from pretty much every suburb of Roc and this one is consistently my favorite. The food just tastes better and the people working there are sweet.

My girlfriend and I dined in once for lunch; the woman who brought our food out (I think she was the cook) came with an extra bowl of brown sauce that she was excited for us to try (it was delicious). She was enthusiastic to have us dine in and we left feeling like we just had a home-cooked meal.
