Wow, this place is awesome. The beer selection can satisfy most people. They have plenty of local brewery offerings available for those who like to keep it local. For the rest they have a lot of the other big names available. I tend to drink local beers when I'm in an area so I appreciate the many local options. Regarding the food, I asked an employee what dishes they recommend and was told the Reuben and the wings so we got a Reuben and wings. The Reuben was amazing. The bread tasted of rye, the kraut was krauty and the corned beef was delicious. My fellow food adventurer (Bill) had never had a Reuben and now he says it's one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. I can attest this was one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had. The wings were interesting. They fry them, then toss them in sauce, then grill them, then toss them again. We got the tiger sauce which is the house sauce and it was just ok. It was hotter than you expect for a house sauce to the point where I wouldn't recommend it for children or people sensitive to heat. Typically house sauces are goldens or cajuns or sweets so I was surprised this one was hot. I enjoyed the wings and can appreciate them trying something new when cooking them but I guess I'm more of a traditional wing eater. The place was a cool setting. The food was good. The beer selection was good. I'll definitely go back again. I'll get the Reuben again too UPDATE 5/22/16 - I made a second trip and this time tried the chicken wing salad. An equally delicious dish. If someone in your party is health conscious, the salad will...
Read moremy wife and I stopped in for a cocktail on Mother's Day while waiting for other family members to meet us for dinner elsewhere. One beer, one margarita is all we ordered. I went to pay the tab before leaving and noticed the bill was $26.00, I looked at it and saw a couple more beers were added. I informed the bartender he overcharged me for drinks I didn't order. he proceeded to argue with me about the bill and stated "I watched you pull in on your motorcycle and walk up to me to order those drinks", I said what the actual hell are you talking about?, my wife is sitting in my Dodge Ram waiting for me! he then looked outside, saw my wife in the truck, looked at me, and said, "My bad, you were wearing a baseball hat, and so is he." WHAT??? I exclaimed. He's wearing a black BMW hat, and I'm wearing a camouflage Marine Corps Veterans hat. he proceeded to take my card to correct the mistake. However, all he did was charge me for our two drinks, not clearing the original mistake. that day was the first time in approximately ten years we have been in there, and that...
Read moreThe grilled garlic parmesan wings were perfectly done, crispy and not greasy! The Friday special was beer battered Haddock; crunchy outside, sweet and flaky and again not greasy. Every available desert was eggfree, and the two we sampled were excellent:Chocolate Lasagne and Peanut Butter pie. It was opening Olympics night, and they took our request to watch the opening ceremonies and displayed it on the majority of the screens. I enjoyed the tall pub style tables, and had a view outside of the stone patio with several raised fires lit. The cocktails were VERY REASONABLE! Staff was busy, but once we got our server Rob, he was pleasantly attentive throughout our stay, and patient With my indecisive friend! Two reasons I did not give it 5 stars - YOU SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR MAKING A HEALTHY CHOICE FOR DINNER: The broiled Haddock instead of the beer battered was $1 more. The atmosphere inside was just ok. I love dives with character, watering holes with history, and the Pour House was clean, but bland...
