My husband and I are regular and very loyal customers of the location in Lagrange, so we decided to check out the Salt Point location... all I have to say is, WOW - this is Pizza Margherita AMPLIFIED!!! They have a bakery, a pizzeria, and a deli in one large convenience store-type setting. The staff and service are top-notch, the food is delicious and the owner is an absolutely wonderful guy! It was really busy when we went and the workflow was easy and manageable. Everything they have is homemade: NY-style soft pretzels, the sandwich and wedge rolls, upscale baked goods, and incredible cider donuts! Danny, the owner, told us homemade gelato and Italian ice will be available in the warmer months. How could you beat all this when it's easily accessible under one roof?! You can't!
We've been going to Pizza Margherita in Lagrange for about five years now and not once have we ever had a negative experience. Their food is always consistent with high-quality ingredients and service. We love Danny and the entire staff at both locations!
To anyone reading this review: don't listen to the negativity and haters about this place. Apparently, they don't know what great food is. Try it...
Read moreI too have been a regular customer of the sister store in LaGrange. That one gets 6 stars and Salt Point gets 8. The food at each is far superior to that expected at a neighborhood establishment. The more recent addition offers an even more diverse and extensive menu and good variety of bakery (superb, making me hungry thinking about) and grocery items. Multiple comfortable tables. Several have mentioned the proprietor, Danny, a truly outstanding restaurateur and gentleman. Pasta, pizza, soups, sandwiches, meals to go and the homemade ices, etc. are truly excellent. Prices do reflect the reality of contemporary ingredients and huge portion sizes, but are not unfair. Food actually of fine dining quality deserves a wordy description to counter a few...
Read moreI’ve never been disappointed with this pizzerias food. All the soups are good my favorite is a plain Sicilian it’s the best, the crust has that crunch and the sauce the cheese must I go on. I had a piece of the fried zuccini sticks that my niece ordered they were also Delisious. It’s a 25 minute drive from Hyde park where I’m at but it’s worth the 50 minute round trip. As a matter of fact I always get my rainbow cookies don’t know there proper name but it’s okay there also Delisious with some coffee. These guys are doing something right for having two locations those are just facts. Keep it up my family and I...
