one of my favorite places ever, i go at least a couple times a month! i get my hair done at the salon across the street, and have in fact walked over to get food while having an apron on and foils in my hair. (On more than one occasion, mind you) Worth it.
i usually get food to-go, but I have eaten in a few times, and have even just went with a book or my nintendo switch for an hour or two to chill with a coffee and sweet treat.
The atmosphere is so good and the places that offer this level of comfort in our area are few and far between. Even the music is peak cozy. I think one time I heard them playing music from the old Harvest Moon games and it made me so happy!
the food is SO good. I have not tried anything here so far that i haven’t loved. I am not a coffee person, but this is truly the ONLY place i will drink coffee from and not dump it out halfway through. their peppermint mocha latte is my favorite and i will be so sad if they discontinue it. Their prices are also very fair and reasonable.
as much as i want to gatekeep this place for myself, i have brought several friends here with me and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
To the owners: thank you for bringing this place to life. Our tiny town doesn’t offer much to people unless you like drinking at bars, sports, or hiking, so i absolutely love that you offer activities such as karaoke and game nights on Saturdays.
All in all, highly recommend the...
Read moreListen, I came in for “just a coffee” and left emotionally attached to the place. The Norwood News Café has officially ruined other cafés for me (in the best possible way).
Let’s start with the pumpkin biscotti 10/10, would trade my Netflix password for another one. It’s perfectly spiced, part cookie and part crunch! It gives “cozy autumn hug” energy in edible form. If fall had a flavor, this is it.
Then there’s the cold brew with cold foam, I ordered it with one of their sugar-free flavor options (bless you, sugar-free vanilla), and it was chef’s kiss. Smooth, strong enough to power a small town, and topped with a foam so velvety it deserves its own fan club.
The customer service? Impeccable.
And the inside of the café - absolutely adorable. Think “Pinterest board meets small-town charm.” If I didn’t have responsibilities, I’d move in and live between the pastry case and the cold brew tap.
In conclusion: The Norwood News Café is a five-star experience that delivers caffeine, comfort, and questionable self-control when it comes to baked goods. Will I be back? Oh absolutely — probably before you finish reading...
Read moreI didn't expect to find such a gem when I turned down a one way road in Norwood. But I do love surprises! The baked goods were all homemade and delicious. (I tried one and brought a few more home to share.) The premade sandwich reminded me of a sandwich to order from a favorite sandwich shop in Middlebury, VT. Even my basic black coffee was a plesant surprise. (The guy behind the counter wasn't satisfied to give me non-piping hot brew from the bottom of the pot, so he made another pot fresh just for me.)....
