I have been a customer of Village Blend since they opened and they started out strong. I was a big supporter of them. However, I came to write a review for two reasons especially after my last 3 visits.
Very long wait times! The wait for anything is very long. If you are trying to catch a train or just get a quick coffee or food item, plan to be there for a minimum of 20 minutes. The staff is very kind and owner is sweet but they have not yet figured out how to make anything efficiently. The times I have ordered and it’s been quick, it’s been wrong so be sure to go if you have time. Not a typical coffee shop in terms of efficiency. Quality. Unfortunately, the quality of items has gone down a lot over the last year or so. Best example is that they charge $10+ for an avocado toast. It used to be two slices, thick and was amazing!! I never buy avocado toast anywhere but there (until recently). In my last 3 visits, they upped the price and it is now a tiny thin single piece of toast. Really not worth the price even if I never knew about their older/better version.

Read moreExtremely overpriced and unorganized. Waited 20 minutes on a two person line for two watery lattes and two stale pastries coming to a total of $25. You have to drive through a town of boarded up windows and gun stores to get here so I don’t know what they think they’re charging for.
Edit: Because of the “confusion” the proprietor below believes I have. I’m referring to the shop behind the Organic Market that’s always empty. Next to the side entrance to valley rock spa. It has a large sign in the front saying Village Blend. I’m just giving an honest review. To try and deceive people saying you don’t have record of my transaction is silly. Just take the feedback and do better to serve the community you do...
Read moreFirst things first... the oatmeal raisin cookies are SO good they have been outlawed in 14 States! It is worth the trip from anywhere to treat yourself to the world's best oatmeal raisin cookies! OK... they have all those fancy coffee and tea things that so many folks like. I drink a dark roast black no sugar coffee. I don't touch the fancy stuff, so I can't comment. The food I do eat. The food here is not the usual fare... everything has a twist and touch that you will only find at the Village Blend... and that is a good thing! Combine that with the personable staff and this gem is a total winner!
Don't look for it on Orange Turnpike! It is located in the Sloatsburg train station parking lot! Time to...
