Fitzgibbons Public House — Restaurant in Town of Ridgeway

Today was the first time for me to dine at Fitzgibbons and it surely will not be my last. Fitzgibbons serves Irish fare food and offers a fish fry on Friday nights. The resturant is clean and has a nice dining room with plenty of room for dining. The bar is huge that Wraps around the resturant. Restrooms are located in the back of the building only one person at a time inside. Fitgibbons is an older building and is comfortable with plenty of memorabilia to gaze at while eating. Our server Emily was the best server I ever had. She was by herself waiting tables taking care of patrons as well as in and out of the kitchen. And provided us with excellent service very little wait time. Our food was served to us piping hot! My husband order the clam chowder soup and Sheppard pie. He complimented both dishes saying the chowder was one of the best he's had. I ordered the hearty guineas stew which was served with sour dough bread and a cup of onion soup. Amazing! I also ordered a Irish mule cocktail. The spices were excellent. Thank you Fitzgibbons and a big shout out to Emily. We will be looking forward to...

The most humiliating moment I've had in all my three years here in medina.. the waiter claiming to be the "manager" by the name of . Matt..was very rude to myself and family..when we walked in he wouldn't speak. He went to EVERYBODY in the restaurant but us and asked how things were. I had to call him twice before he addressed us when we advised him the pickles were salty. He immediately was rude. We were the only people of color. Not once did he address us like he greeted and checked on everyone else. And after he asked us to leave my wife politely said to him she didn't understand what the issue was his reply was "he wasn't interested in anything she had to say". He then said all the staff had an issue with us. All we did was order a drink and appetizer. Never had any other interaction we were talking amongst ourselves and having a good time before this happened. When I asked the bartender was there an issue she was confused. He then yelled and told me don't address his staff and leave!.... up date: Matt was a waiter...

Short staffed we had to wait an HOUR AND A HALF for our food daughter burger came out and it was BURNT TO A CRISP! We tried being understanding in regards to being short staffed but at the same time the place was almost empty and it still took and hour and a half to receive our food and then to get cold fries and a burnt burger that wasn't edible was ridiculous. Gave us 20% off the burnt burger and made her a new one which was better than the first one but did not intend to spend all said and done almost 2.5 hours getting and eating our food once the burger was remade. Probably will never go there again and I wouldn't recommend. Gave it 3 stars because the owner was sweet and kind and I felt bad but the same time it's his business and he should be better prepared or don't open at all if u don't have the staff you need in the long run he lost more money from me and my family my parents go there OFTEN and they won't be back due to the terrible service and the attitude we got from the waitress for returning and inedible...
