We enjoyed our two trips here while camping in the area. Huge menu. Breakfast options were delicious. Very reasonably priced as well.
EDIT June 2023- Our most recent visit (June 6) was different. Friendly staff as always, but the food was terrible. I mean really bad edit a review terrible. Everything from the grill tasted like tea. I had a feta omlette (which looked like it was made by someone who has never made an omlettte before, and burnt) and home fries, with toast. My daughter had scrambled eggs and homefries, with toast. We had a new server, she messed up the bill, it was quickly corrected in a friendly way by who I assume may be the owner or manager? (Middle age guy. Very nice) I think something weird happened in the kitchen that day. I was eating my somewhant burnt omlette, and tried the home fries and got a massive hit of a flavor I couldn't identify at 1st. Then when my daughter barely touched her meal (both took an unusually long time to come out, which is NOT the norm here) it hit me, her food tasted weird too. I tried her eggs, and it hit me...Tea. All the griddle food tasted like tea. I am wondering of something was spilled by accident, hence the way longer than usual wait time? I have no issue waiting, and everyone was friendly as always, but the food was honestly terrible that day, and my omlette had bits of burnt ?? Stuck in it, kiddos eggs tasted like tea, both our homefries tasted like tea...we ate the toast. No issues there. I get the same thing everytime we go, and this is not normal. The new waitress also charged for a kid drink when said kid had water. That was quickly corrected by the nice man who popped out of the back just as our bill came. I didn't complain about the food, I think he knocked a few bucks off I think for the drink screw up, which was very nice. We will go again, but fingers crossed its not going to be bad. We seriously love Country Club. Maybe they had new kitchen staff training that day? Who knows. Something was very "off". We still enjoyed the air conditioning and pleasant hometown atmosphere. This is our go-to when camping or kayaking in the area...and I will continue to go, hoping it was an off day. We live in Bethany and look forward to eating here when kayaking or camping near Medina. I probably should have said something about the food, but it was in the 90s outside, super humid, and we didn't want a re do, it was almost too hot to eat at all, plus they are so nice and our...
Read moreThis is my first experience with The Country Club restaurant. I got the chicken supreme (or whatever, the one with bacon) sandwich. If the name went by percentage of each part it would be bread, tomato, lettuce, bacon, lettuce, chicken. Chicken is last bc it's so thin I could barely taste the chicken, I took a picture of it next to a French fry and the fry was thicker than the chicken. I couldn't taste the cheese at all. I was expecting Swiss, that's my fault, I didn't read the entire description.the lettuce had just a tiny bit of brown on it but it was fresh, as were the tomatoes. the bread is good but I guess it's not memorable. I am a freak about my lettuce. I have never made a sandwich that I didn't cut at the wrinkles in it cuz sometimes those wrinkles mean it tastes like I'm eating straight lettuce and tomato. The fries, again were unremarkable. Some were barely cooked but they are exactly the same as every other fry that looks like that 🤦🏼♀️ seasoned but barely. If I'm saying that and they don't season anything here at all... 😳 I'm a 37yo resident of the nursing home so getting this sandwich was a treat for me. I'm really not trying to nitpick, I was definitely happier with the sandwich than I would've been eating just my dang cheese sandwiches(at the nursing home) but for $16 total, it should definitely be better. I could've almost ordered a whole pizza. I could've gotten 3 little Caesars pizza... but I am grateful for...
Read moreDecided to take my mom here for Mothers Day. She told me it was a nice place and the owners are very nice as she met them years ago.I now live in a different state and for me it was difficult in choosing a place for mom. The restaurant was spacious and not to crowded. Although several customers were there the seating was placed where we could have a conversation without hearing other people's conversation so I liked that. Also the prices were very reasonable. We looked at other restaurants for this special day. Either prices were overpriced or reservations were needed or they were already booked. Didn't have to worry about that with Country Club Family Restaurant. The portions were huge and the food was simply delicious. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and courteous as we did have a few questions menu related. My mom loved eating there today and that's what mattered to me the most. After we left my mom took me arou.d town and showed me where my great aunt Margaret had lived . Had so many memories to look back on today and my mom had the best mothers day ever. She actually came home and is taking a nap as the food was so good.Thank you Country Club Family Restaurant for making this day extra...
