The Junkyard Bar & Grill Wis Rapids — Restaurant in Town of Saratoga

Me and my wife were at the Junkyard Friday night our first time was recommended by several friends. we came in around 6 wow what a busy place hardly could find a parking spot! told my wife must be good if its this busy and boy was i right. i ordered the Crabby Captain lobster dish and my wife had perch huge serving and the house specialty Red Rock Soup was to die for and cant say enough everything was perfect and huge portions! we have traveled all over and ate at every bar/restaurant in the Wisconsin Rapids and surrounding area and this place is by far the best we ever had I don't normally do reviews as everyone has an opinion but wow!!! I will tell everyone i know this is the best food and atmosphere around....got to meet the owner Captain Ron and what a cool guy talked to us for a bit thanked us for just being there and gave us the upcoming band list told us to hang out and listened to his acoustic friend playing tonight Ira what an amazing night. You normally don't see the owners or they are drinking at the bar not this guy he was talking to every table and you can tell he truly loves his customers and its nice to feel appreciated! so we decided to come back Saturday night for Burgers I had the Junkyard Burger my wife had the Smoked Brisket special again knocked it outta the park both were absolutely amazing we decided to stay after Captain Ron and his Wife told us to stay for his friend playing tonight so we did haven't had that much fun in years what an amazing band Jessie Campbell surely is a county star incredible artist talked to him got some pictures and autograph. we cant wait to go back this weekend as i told my wife no where else in our are has such great food and amazing atmosphere felt like we were at Tootsies in Nashville! keep up the Amazing Job Captain...

Went there on a Friday with my girlfriend to have a drink at the bar while waiting for a couple other friends, to then get dinner. Bartender was super friendly and transferred our drinks to a high top table when it opened up. We ordered our food and waited and waited until we realized other people that ordered after us were getting there food. I went to check with the server and they acknowledged there was a mistake and immediately rectified it and brought our food out within 5 minutes. No big deal to us but we appreciate the promptness and apology. The owner then came over and apologized, took 20% off our tab and gave us 4 drink chips. Was totally unnecessary on a very busy Friday night but it's a testament to his leadership and desire to serve customers in every aspect. Food was amazing, oh and by the way, it was my first time in there. Definitely going to be a staple...

I'll start by saying what is extremely commendable is the friendly demeanor of the host (possibly owner/manager i dont know), the delicious food & the neat/clean atmosphere. Unfortunately it's the waitress & unreasonably long wait times that KILL the experience. We've been here 3 times, hopeful that the service will be better the next time, each time we've been sorely disappointed, & I'm sorry but after this last time we will not be coming back. The lack of attention & flat out rude demeanor of the waitress absolutely pushed it over the edge with us, coupled with the outrageous wait times for the food. Many factors lead to just an unpleasant experience leaving you feeling extremely dissatisfied while walking out the door. Plan on waiting over an hour for your food & being thirsty & ignored while you patiently wait...
