Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. We went out for dinner with my family before the Legally Blonde Musical at the Weidner Center last night. We called a few days prior to make a reservation and were told that they don’t take reservations. We had a party of six. We got there at 5:10 to get in line for a table. There was an hour wait. We didn’t mind that because we would be out of the restaurant by around 7:00 if we sat down by 6:10. We waited. And waited. And waited. It came to be 6:15 and we talked to the hosted to see how much longer it would be. We were told another 15 minutes. We were talking to one to the tables that was wrapping up on their meal and they wanted a spot at the bar. We figured we could order our food and the hopefully have it out in time for us to even get a quick bite before we had to leave. We ordered with one of the bartenders and the owner came in and said we can’t do that, even though we had someone replacing our spot at the bar once we got our table. He stated “it’s just the rule” and that we can’t do that four or five times. It ended up working out that we did swap our spots with the table of people that finished eating and everything seemed fine. This was at 6:45. We got there at 5:10 and it took an hour and 35 minutes to just be seated. The woman bartender was trying to help and we definitely appreciated it. We ordered as soon as we sat down. Our salads came out with a half of a handful of lettuce, two pieces of onion, some cherry tomatoes and some cheese. The dressing was spilled all over one of the salads. We told our waitress that we wanted to order one round of drink and then close all of our tabs and pay for everything so we could eat and leave. It took her three times of coming back to the table before she could “split our checks” and try to pay for our food. It was now 7:00. We had to leave. A few of us got some salad and that was it. We had two people and our group wait for our waitress to pay for our bills and get our food in to-go containers. AND after all of this, they didn’t even give us all of our food. We ordered six full meals and only got five. Completely ridiculous. Overall, the waitstaff were doing what they could for a busy night. I was very disappointed in how the owner acted though. We probably spent $50-$75 at the bar before getting seated and you choose to have an attitude with your customers. Poor customer experience. Poor customer service. 10/10, would...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner tonight, and the service was so beyond terrible that I am leaving a bad review for the first time in my life. For context, we have both worked in the restaurant business for over 30 years, and my family owns a restaurant. Tonight was supposed to be a treat for us, and we were really looking forward to visiting this place for the first time. There was no hostess when we arrived, and we waited at the door for several minutes to even be acknowledged. When we finally got a table, our server Jada took a quick drink order (soda and a water) and disappeared. Didn't see her again for 15 minutes, and the drinks she brought were watered down with half melted ice. We ordered an appetizer and entrees, and she was rude and dismissive - her only response was "sounds good". Appetizer (pesto fries) took a half hour and was soggy, followed 5 minutes later by entrees - both were brought by a different server. Jada went by a few times and never checked on us or brought refills for our empty drinks. The only time she returned, we asked for our check, which took another 15 minutes and she threw on the table - like literally tossed it at us. No thank you, have a nice night, nothing - just tossed the check on the table and walked away. Maybe she was having a bad day, was in the weeds, whatever, but in 3 decades of working as a server from New York to California and everywhere in between, her service was astonishingly bad. First time in our lives that my boyfriend and I didn't tip. We won't be going back, which is a shame because the food and atmosphere were good, but the service completely ruined what was supposed to be a...
Read moreSo I had yet ANOTHER awful experience at this establishment. I keep giving it another try & yet they consistently prove that customer service is NOT something of importance. I saw the flip board of drink specials at my table & gave it a whirl. The first special said "Wednesday Ladies Night Two For One" and below that it listed "Malibu pints, Bacardi pints, Wine glasses"...so I flipped to the page where only the Malibu drinks were listed & picked one & ordered it (no prices listed). Later when I got the bill I was charged for both of the Malibu drinks, $6 each. I asked about the special & the server sent a bartender over who said to me "Let me explain this in a way you will understand. Just because it's a drink with Malibu in a pint glass doesn't mean it's included. That's a specialty drink." I pointed out that there's no disclaimer listed on any page that says what's excluded, not to mention, nothing that labeled the page of all Malibu drinks as "specialty". She (Courtney) didn't care. And told me I'll be paying full price. What really bothered me was her speaking to me like I'm completely stupid. To me it was pretty much common sense, I saw a special with no exclusions listed and picked something that fit the description of the special. To top it off after I got home I got sick. I won't get into those details. Save yourself the energy and headache, go somewhere else for food or beverages. PS I still left the server a VERY generous tip since she doesn't make the rules or the poorly defined...
