Maria's Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Shelter Island

My wife and I stopped here last year on a whim making our way back to MA. The food is delicious and portions are truly unbelievable. The prices are a little higher than what we are used to but I imagine location has to do with it. Maria is very friendly along with the rest of her staff. I highly recommend the fish tacos but everything I have tried has been reallly good including the rice and beans. Make sure to get some guacamole too! DONT SLEEP ON MARIA’S!!! Seriously, we stopped here for a quick bite and to visit the bookstore across the street, but we were floored by how amazing all the food was (we had a burrito and a quesadilla) and the smoothies were absolutely perfect. Weather was nice so we ate on the cute back garden area. Everyone who worked there is super nice and kind. They have a whole mini-mart thing going on as well - i’ll definitely be stopping again on my way between the ferries...
