I have been going to Gino's for a long time and have always enjoyed their food. Tonight I had to go in and change my 5star rating to 1. I placed an order on what their website said was the preferred order system which was directly through Gino's (not Doordash or other delivery service) It said it would be 30 to 45 Minutes. After an Hour I called to check on the order as it had not been delivered. The girl that answered the phone was extremely rude when I asked. She asked then for my address which i provided. She put me on hold (music Played) 30 seconds later phone disconnected, I then called back. Repeated the same conversation to be told there was no order for my address. I explained that I ordered it on line I have an order number ( which she didn't want). I was put on hold again and then another person picked up and for the 3rd time I had to tell her my situation. She asked me what I ordered, said it never came through the computer and she re-entered it. I asked about payment as I had paid for it and she said they had to reboot their computer and the food would be there in 45 mins. At this point I was a little annoyed buy stuff happens and I figured they would correct the issue. Well another hour and 10 minutes went by and still no delivery. I called back inquired about my order , once again was asked for my address, I was asked to hold on. Again , music .. 10 seconds later disconnected. I called back and was immediately hug up on , I called again and when the new person picked up the phone I asked for the manager, I was then again put on hold and hung up on, I called back 3 More times to no avail. each time ring click and hanging up. I finally used my wife's phone to call in, I again asked to speak to a manager, this time I was put on hold and then when they picked back up I was met with what's your issue? I said excuse me? She said nothing,, so I explained my situation once again, she said hold on, 15 seconds later She picked back up and said its on its way now. This was almost 2.5 hrs after the order was placed. I asked for her name , she replied Brenna (not sure of spelling). I said thank you and that was the end of the call . 15 minutes later the delivery came ( the driver was super polite and professional Kudos to him). the Mesculn slice had ice in it and the Lasagna was cold. Horrible. If you have read this far , I did start off saying I love their food have for a long time. but with this kind of disrespect and lack of any kind of customer service. It will be our last time ordering from them. I hope Joe can correct this and bring back the quality that was once...

I went in there this past Saturday; I asked for a dozen zeppole's and asked if they could make a shrimp wrap for me after seeing they served wraps and also salads with shrimp so I figured this should not be a problem. The girl said yeah sure, rang me up and I paid then waited 15 minutes before a blonde guy asked if I was being helped; I told him yes and told him what I was waiting for. He looked at the guy with wavy brown hair who then confronted the girl who rang me up and she told him the kitchen was giving her hard time about the shrimp wrap so he looked at me and said they don't have shrimp wraps. umm okkk, so then I was refunded. YOU COULDN'T HAVE TOLD ME THIS 15 MINUTES AGO?? And now I waited for the Zeppole's that were not even being made yet at this point either. 5 minutes goes by and the blonde guy asks what I'm waiting for again, I tell him the Zeppoles and now the brown haired guy looks confused and slowly goes to the display where there are "zeppoles". He takes them out and slowly looks at them then tells me he has to make them and it will be 15 minutes. Yeah, I know I probably should have just asked for the $ back from the Zeppoles now, but I didn't. So I walk next door to the deli where I am treated like a human and get a wrap. I go back to Gino's 20 minutes later (to give them them extra time since this seems to be rocket science to them) and the brown haired guy and the girl who rang me up look confused, I say yeah I'm here for the Zeppole's; again they have a slow look to them. She turns and they both look into the metal bowl the Zeppole's are sitting in. She whispers something to him and he says "yeah, but they are still warm." Did these people not think I was coming back for the Zeppole's after I paid for them? He puts them into a container and says "I gave you two extra." Holy Cow, you got to be kidding me! Thanks for the 2 extra??? I felt like I was in the twilight zone. When I told my sister in law what happened, she said she was not surprised. Read moreOrdered a few trays of food for a party this past weekend. It's been a few years since we used Ginos of Nesconset for catering-. We had always had great food and good service in the past. This time, however, it was not good, at all.
The food was blegh. Chicken parm was decent however the pasta fiorentina was terriblel(chicken was super dry). Baked penne seems like it would be baked ziti with a dfferent pasta. Let me assure you, it is not. Their baked penne is dried up pasta, no meat and barely any sauce. It looked like there was some cheese on top? Idk, the whole thing tasted very bland.
Our order was supposed to include 24 rice balls, as part of the $400+ package. Instead they sent a double order of garlic sticks. They did not explain or apologize for the substitution. And the garlic stick were awful. Dried up and barely edible.
Lastly, I did make a change at 10 am to request the order be delivered instead of picked up (set time betweeen 4-430). I get that it was day of, but it was still 6 hours notice. If they couldn't accommodate that, I would have picked it up. Instead, delivery didn't arrive until 5pm because they "forgot that delivery was requested" The cherry on the cake- they had to call me that evening to get my charge card info because they screwed that up too.
