Sal's Pizza And Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Somers

The pizza is decent The problem lies in that they refuse to put a pie in the oven unless the last one is sold resulting in huge lines of customers just waiting for a pie to come out of the oven. One pie comes out and it's gone in 5 seconds because of the line waiting...then there's still.ppl waiting for a whole other pie to be done, there is only 8 slices in a pie!! It's giving "God forbid i have to throw away 3 slices at the end of the night or even worse, give it away"!! A sluce should be twice baked anyway for a sturdy slice, it should be flacid. The only reason its always packed is because its the only pizzaria within 15/20 blocks!! Horrible. Don't come unless you want to wait for pies to come out...

Having lived in the Bronx and worked all over Manhattan I have experienced really good New York Pizza. When our family moved up to Somers in 2010 it was impossible to find pizza that was comparable to what I was accustomed to. Enter Sals Pizza and Pasta and I have finally found New York Pizza that I don’t have to travel 45 minutes to enjoy. Pizza is made with home made dough (thin crust!) delicious sauce and fresh ingredients all served by friendly staff. It’s about time I review this restaurant, one of our local favorites! Hubby and I LOVE Sal’s so much, typically we order from here once a week. They make delicious pizzas, exceptional entrees, great pasta and salads too! The chicken scarpiello is my favorite! We usually get that and a pizza to enjoy leftovers the next day too!!!
