It is just a wondrous place. I was frantically looking for a bakery who makes gluten free vanilla cupcakes with fresh strawberry buttercream for my niece’s birthday with no success. I saw it on the menu from winter and went in and the owner said yes that he would do this for me. You need to give them a few days notice. I picked them up yesterday and they were like heaven on earth, so tasty and moist. They made the bbq a great success . They even have one of the cupcakes in their display case. This is simply an excellent bakery. It is run by a multigenerational Swiss Family and their food and ingredients are authentic , fresh, delicious , and rarely found on Long Island. I enjoyed two of their sandwiches (expecting to only have one but afterwards couldn’t wait) and was thrilled to try their authentic fresh pretzels , which are so rarely found outside of German speaking Europe and very different from typical American or NY pretzels. Yum. The savory options here are fantastic, not always the case at bakeries. My son and I shared a ham and cheese baguette and my daughter had a caprice (vegetarian) baguette. Both were outstanding. Followed by some sweet pastries: my son loved his custard and Nutella stuffed cruffin (a hybrid croissant / muffin), my daughter is still taking her time over the slice of chocolate fudge cake, and my wife (gluten free), adores her flourless chocolate cake.
