Food was okay overall—miso soup was a little salty but still enjoyable, and the steamed veggie dumplings were pretty good. The sushi itself was nothing special. I visited twice, and both times they didn’t have draft beer or fried ice cream, which was disappointing. On my second visit, I ordered a drink and someone came up to the table very aggressively asking for IDs. We provided them, but the approach felt more like they were trying to “catch” us rather than just doing a standard check, which was uncomfortable. On the positive side, the servers themselves were friendly and did a good job both times, though the food took a while to come out. Overall, the service was decent, but the lack of consistency with menu items and the way the ID check was handled left a negative impression.

What happened all of a sudden to Suki Zuki? We have come here for many years and the food was always top quality and delicious. But now all of a sudden the food has become quite bad, oversalted and far off the quality it consistently has been. Where is Toyo? Is there a new cook? And on top of all, the tables were all so sticky that the napkins got stuck. Bhhh😢

Cured the crave; Had the rainbow, soft crab & the eel roll. I carried out, as indoor dining wasn't available until August 2. The bartender took my order, nice guy server and staff all very nice. Quick easy yummy!

It pains me to write this review as I have grown up on suki zuki and love the food. But I don’t know what else to do. First off, it is impossible to call and place and order for pickup. We once called 100 times and no answer. The minimum amount of times we have called was 40. The reason is because they just let the phone ring without answering it. Why not allow for online ordering? They always forgot something in our order. So I talked to the owner and he said call before 6 pm and we will answer. So I call before 6 for an 8:30 pm pickup. I get there at 8:35 to pickup and ask for my order. They say sorry there is no order for you. I say can you please check I ordered at 6 pm. They then start laughing and talking amongst each other. They forgot to put the order in. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes but it took 20 minutes. Then we finally got the food and I checked over the order to make sure they had it correct. They had ordered me a miso salmon instead of miso soup. I said it was okay to just leave the salmon but can you please add the soup. The waiter said ok and then rang up the order again and added $3 for the miso soup and didn’t take off the miso salmon. I thought they would say sorry or comp the miso soup but I guess I expected too much. The food is good there but I don’t think it is the amazing suki zuki quality that...

Ordered takeout yesterday. They added a gratuity to my to-go order. I am a twenty year veteran of the restaurant business and I believe exceptional service should be rewarded. I would have been fine with the gratuity, despite the fact that it is illegal, but our order was not even edible. There was food missing. The portions were smaller than usual, in particular the Vegetable Tempura and Chicken Katsu. The Beef Negemaki was horribly packaged and falling apart to the point where it was unappetizing. Two of the sauces were improperly packaged and spilled all over our order. I was so upset, I couldn't even enjoy my food...which, when I attempted to eat it, was awful. Most of it went in the garbage, which is where it belonged. I don't know how any of this justifies an automatic gratuity, which only added insult to injury. Shame on you Suki Zuki. You just lost a faithful, year-round customer. A classic example of a once great restaurant on its way out. Maybe they are focusing their attention on their equally awful restaurant in...
