We stopped in here after finding that the place we wanted to eat at was closed on Wednesdays. What a mistake. While we were promptly seated, it took longer than average for our server to come over. She took our orders and that was the last we saw of her. Two members of our party had the chicken fingers. These were some sort of reformed chicken product from a frozen bag on par with Walmart store brand. The fries were somehow both dried out and soggy. They must have been sitting in the kitchen for a very long time. My son's burger was cooked well done despite being ordered medium. My Mom's veggie fajitas were ok, though overpriced for the size. The ultimate insult was the "Baja Fish Tacos". I wish I took a picture to share. I received two small tortillas containing a single, small, pre-made fish fillet (a la Gordon's, but lower quality) that had been cut in half for each taco. They should be embarrassed to serve food like this. As an added bonus, my Mom was charged 80 cents for half and half with her coffee (they claimed it was now a breve, though that is an espresso beverage). Don't forget the 20% automatic gratuity for a "large party" of 3 adults and 2 kids where the server interacted with us for under 2 minutes. Without a doubt this is the worst restaurant experience I've had in about a decade. Shame on you Hampton...
Read moreCame here with my wife and daughter hoping to enjoy a nice breakfast, but left disappointed due to the confusing and inconsistent service.
Apparently, this place has two different systems: self-service at the counter and full service at the tables. I asked the woman at the counter how it works—she told me I could order there and then sit outside on the patio. I placed a fairly large order (about $60), including a lox bagel (which she said they’d make from the other kitchen), and then went to sit with my family.
That’s when another staff member told me I wasn’t allowed to sit outside because I hadn’t ordered through the table service side. I explained what I was told, but they just kept saying “sorry, sorry” and offered no solution—not even letting us pay extra or move the food over. It felt like no one really wanted to take responsibility or help make things right.
Food was okay, but the experience was frustrating. If you go, just make sure you know which “system” you’re supposed to use, because the staff doesn’t seem to communicate with each other—and the customer pays the...

Hampton Coffee Company has a nice, laid-back vibe and decent coffee, but overall, it just doesn’t justify the steep prices. I stopped in for a quick bite and was shocked to find that two small tacos came out to nearly $30. They were fine — nothing special, definitely not gourmet — and the portion size was underwhelming for what they cost. At that price point, you’d expect something more memorable or at least a bit more generous.
The coffee itself was solid. Nothing to rave about, but a good, well-balanced cup that did the job. The staff was friendly, and the space is pleasant enough if you’re looking to hang out or get some work done, but the food prices really take away from the experience.
It feels like you’re paying a premium just for being in the Hamptons rather than for quality or creativity. There are better food and coffee options nearby that deliver more value and flavor for your money.
Unless you’re in a pinch or just want a basic caffeine fix in a convenient spot, I’d say skip the food here and save your money for something...
