We’ve been long time customers (15+ years) and Baby Moon used to be consistently 4.5 to 5 star even with the change in ownership which is not easy to do. I’m sure Covid has caused staffing issues so I won’t give the two stars that was my original thought. As of late we’ve had soggy salads as well as improperly and sloppily prepared dishes, for example, their lasagna which I used to say was the best around arrived looking like a puddle and over was done on my last visit. The take out has become a consistent miss as well. Front of house staff remain friendly despite the constant crush of customers and they manage to keep a madhouse atmosphere orderly. but the kitchen needs some work. I am writing this to say that I liked this place and I am sad to see Baby Moon’s food quality fall. I see the thanks for the Five star reviews but nothing for poor reviews. I really like this place it’s a family staple but I would like to see them get back to the high food standards they...
Read moreI saw the review from Rachel Nussbaum Barnwell, and I couldn’t disagree more. I was there sitting at the bar, the same night. Ms. Barnwell was sitting at the bar, and had a 3 year old child with her. Carlo, the owner, asked her nicely, to move away from the bar—explaining that children sitting at the bar, is illegal. Ms. Barnwell’s response was nasty, inappropriate, and disrespectful. I’ve been going to Baby Moon for several years, and I have nothing but positive feelings about both the food and the service. The staff are friendly, and they work extremely hard to make sure everyone is served and attended to. The food is outstanding—consistently good. Please disregard Ms. Barnwell’s negative rant. Carlo was acting in the best interest of her child—only bad things can happen in that setting. Carlo doesn’t deserve this, and Baby Moon is a Westhampton staple. We are fortunate to have such a great Italian...
Read moreBaby Moon has been our "go to" fore local italian seafood since we moved into Eastport last October. I loved the Shrimps and Clams in white sauce. Fresh chunks of clams and very nice shimps in a wonderfully tasty sauce. I brought the whole family there twice in the last month, and came with two friends in Aug. Such a major disappointment. I order the same thing. Once they forgot the shrimp ,once it came warm, and the clams were finely chopped, with much less taste. This last weekend was the last time. We spent over $450, and honestly the sauce is not special at all. My sons had the 2 lb lobsters, not very good, served warm, with very little pasta. I was talked into the colossal shimp over linguine $45, and found the sauce pedestrian. Dissappointing. Latest press is their prices have been lowered. When I asked, and looked at the menu. It was not...
