Boom Burger — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

This restaurant is okay. I like the decor on the inside. It has a comic book theme to it but it's not done in an obnoxious way which is good. The menu is packed with funny cleverly named burger meals with tons of different combinations but when the burgers actually get to you they're a little underwhelming. They definitely don't gimp you on the portions but the quality is unbalanced. I had a bacon, mac n cheese and onion crisps burger with waffle fries covered in cheese and bacon bits. The fries were great, but the burger was decieving. With all the toppings piled on it, it was a pretty good burger. But just tasting the meat by itself u can tell the toppings are just there to make up for the lacking flavor of the burger. The burger meat has flavor, just not alot and that's what takes the fire out of it. Considering they charge about the same if not more than a McDonalds, Chilis, Applebees, Diner, etc. would charge you for a burger, and they dont even match the quality of either, Boom Burger is a bit of a let down. I'm not saying you shouldn't give them a try, their burgers are alright but there's definitely better burger places; ones that are cheaper and easier to find on...

Could not be more disappointed with this customer service. Just placed an order for pick up. I had the woman taking my order read it twice back to me with a supervisor standing next to her supervising. When the order was ready I asked if everything had been remembered because they ALWAYS forget something in the order. She assured me it was but I should’ve checked myself because lo and behold she forgot the two grilled cheeses for the 5 year olds at home. We had already cleared out for the summer which is why we ordered takeout. I pleaded with them to just make the grilled cheeses they had charged me for but they refused to make the grilled cheeses even though I was on my way back 10 mins after I left. I received a refund, but with no food from there and no supermarkets open at this hour, I’m left to figure what to feed the kids. Terrible sense of accountability and customer service. Everything we ordered was delish! We tried the hot, hot wings - if you love hot wings this is a good heat to start with - they have several levels hotter as well we didn't try, this level was really good, the fries were crisp, the onion rings are probably some of the best we have ever eaten, the "small salad" is huge, fried pickles - yes please, the portions were large and the staff here were very friendly and helpful. We are a family with anaphylactic food allergies to peanuts, most treenuts and sesame and felt very comfortable eating here. They had out side tables which we like due to COVID - and they brought the food out to us, and in the window has a sign that stated they got new HVAC air filtration for indoors, the whole space was very clean. 10/10 stars.
