Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Southeast

Have to say one of the worst experiences i have had at a restaurant. I will explain now because i have calmed since the occurrence last Friday night. My daughter a high school sophomore was helping with crew on the Alladin play for the middle school kids and she decided to bring all the stage crew kids to an after show dinner at the Applebees in Southeast as it was close to brewster middle school. About 12 to 15 kids were in this group and all the parents gave the kids the space to talk and enjoy the independent experience. Many of the parents sat near the bar or at the bar, i sat at the bar near the register and i initially was laughing at how the entire waitstaff was complaining about every single thing they could to someone i believe was the manager that night and she promptly responded with her own complaints. I said to my wife "wow employee moral is very low here" so we ordered a few munchies and just kept an eye on my daughter being in charge of the middle school kids and being very impressed. I had explained to my daughter to make sure at the end of the meal to make sure the waitress was tipped well, so while they were figuring all that out another waitress who was not even helping our kids comes near the bar and says "those kids are obnoxius and they need to leave" now mind you this is not the waitress helping these kids. The waitress helping our kids was wonderful and the kids were very happy with her but this other waitress would not drop the issue. My wife heard this 2 or 3 times and finally went up and told the waitress that we were the parents of these terrible kids who had just spent almost 300 dollars with a 70 to 80 dollar tip and said she was sorry. Needless to say i will never go here again and will urge my daughter to not bring any of the cast and crew to applebees ever again and i will urge everyone to go somewhere else where they are appreciated. I give the food a 10 but the service is not so great. I always order to go. So far ordering on the app is fine, however, ordering in person has not been a good experience at all each time. Recently I went in and at the last minute decided to eat in since there was a small number of patrons dining in. There was no one to greet me at the door (that's most of the time). I sat down and not one person came to my table until 15 minutes had passed at which time I just made a to go order..smdh. One time I went in to order and stood by the order computer by the bar and no one passing by greeted me or asked if they could help me. I stood there for 10 minutes and one guy came to the computer and put in orders but never said a word to me. I chose not to say anything since it is his job to acknowledge a customer. He never did and went about his business. Finally the bar attendant came by 2X before acknowledging me and asking me if she could help me. Early evening December 31 (about 5pm), I tried using the app to no avail. The app kept crashing. I finally called the restaurant and no one answered. Someone answered by the 3rd time I called only to say to go orders had a 1 hour wait. I was hungry and didn't want to wait. I eventually called back to order anyway and the young lady who answered didn't wait for me to respond and hung up on me. I called back and the same young guy who first answered told me the wait (now just 10 minutes later) was 1 hour and 30 minutes I decided to drive there and made the order in person and the wait was only 20 minutes..again smdh. Well the wait for my meal was a bit long and added to that it came out with the appetizer i ordered first. I got the white queso with chips. Chips were way too salty and the queso was very thin almost like a soup. Not enough queso for all the chips either, i did not finish it. For my meal i got the whisky bacon burger which was decent even though i asked for medium and got medium well. Lots of flavor and not too messy for a burger that is stacked with thick bacon, crispy onions and the fluffy bun. That was the redeeming dish in this situation. My friend ordered the regular taco covered chips but ended up getting the same white queso as me but he didn't mind. I can understand a busy friday night but at least get orders correct and send out the starter first. First experience where things weren't proper at this location.

Update: 3/31 Now rating 2 stars as you guys completely dropped the ball. I ordered a bourbon street steak cooked to medium with shrimp and parmesan on top and no mushrooms via carside to go. I input my contact info. When i finally got back to my job to eat it you guys put mushrooms in and the steak was medium well. On top of those mistakes there wasnt even any parmesan, only shrimp and the potatoes didnt taste like they had any garlic. There was more garlic on the shrimp than the potatoes. My order was clear as i ordered it from your website. It was ok in terms of taste, just the medium well wasnt what i i ordered. If you have issues or forgot what i wanted just call.
