This was my first time at Bob's Diner. As soon as my partner and I entered, it weirdly felt like I've been there thousands of times before. From the friendly waiter to the amazing atmosphere to the GREAT food it was all an amazing experience. Hearing the regulars try to figure out the crossword of the day across tables was such a weird joy to hear and know the comfort that this diner brings to people. I personally had the Grateful with cinnamon raisin toast (they ran out of whole wheat but i didn't mind) and hashbrowns (which btw were cooked to perfection) and an unsweetened iced tea, which was also very good. My partner had the Really Hangry with coffee , blueberry pancakes and a side of half an avocado. He ate everything off his plate and we basically sat in silence just enjoying our food (you know food's good when you got nothing to say AT ALL lol). Coffee was classic diner coffee nothing to complain about though as it was strong just like my partner likes it. He also ordered (classic) eggs benedict he LOVED the hollandaise sauce (this was supposed to be his to-go order for later on but he tried one bite and devoured it ALL). We also got my brother in law a rodeo burger to go, he said it held up perfectly and the addition of the BBQ sauce was great, although the onion ring was a little too thick for his liking but overall my dream is to become a regular at Bob's. I will definitely be back. (they close at 2pm and we had no idea, we stayed until 1:53PM calmly without them rushing...
Read moreI so wanted to love this place. The interior is amazing and the view from the back room tables is phenomenal. The food was 50/50. The eggs benedict were okay, the "Really Hangry" dish was sub-par, it seems we got the last of the home fries (dry, cold and burned in some places). They were out of whole wheat toast and instead of asking us what else we would prefer instead, they simply brought rye. No explanation. We also waited about 50 minutes for our dishes. While there were quite a few people/tables, this seemed like a lot of time to wait without any check-in from the wait staff. Our first cup of coffee was fantastic, the 2nd one was burned tasting. I did enjoy the menu - there are some clever word puns on some of the dishes. They also charge 4% (!!!) for credit card payments - without letting you know! Overall, a bit disappointing which the view and interior do not...
Read moreThis had to be one of the most relaxing breakfasts I’ve had in a while. Loved listening to the oldies playing in the background while the chef chatted it up with a customer at the counter. It felt like the old days where customer relationships mattered. The food was delicious. The bacon was cooked PERFECTLY!!! It is so hard to find a diner that presses the bacon so it’s cooked evenly. The staff was 5 star. Our waitress was the only one on the floor so she ran all over assisting tables and somehow was able to remain super friendly...
