SOOOO DELISH!!! 💕👏🏻💕👏🏻 Food was AMAZZZZZING and staff was the sweetest!!! We were greeted by the 2 Barbara’s 😜 when we walked in and Denise was our server! Denise was so great in helping us decide what to order and was very informative on how all the food is made to order AKA fresh and it’s a family owned business where they take pride in all the ingredients used! This is not your typical restaurant and we were psyched to try the food! My hunnnnnies Jeff and I split everything so (based on Denise’s) recommendations we went with 3 courses! BUT of course I started with a FIGTINI 🍸(nobrainer 😝). First up was the North Atlantic Cod which was like a bouillabaisse (and yes I did just google how to spell that 😂) which was AMAZING!!! Typically I never order cod because I find it boring BUT not this!!? This didn’t seem like cod! It was THAT GOOD! Check out my pic so you can see! Next up was the Arugula insalata and we added the prosciutto (because how could you not 😜). This salad was SOOO GOOD! AND had pine nuts which I LOVE!!! For the main course we had veal rollatini! This also was super delish!! So much so, I forgot to take a pic (sorry!😝)! We didn’t order dessert because we were full as we completely ATE EVERYTHING. The plates were clean and nothing left! SO HAPPY we came here! AND so happy it’s close to our home only 10 minutes away! So if you are in the area come on by and check it out! Also they have a big bar when you first come in if you just want to chill with a cocktail or 2 or 3 😂. Either way DEF RECOMMEND!! One of the BEST restaurants on the North Fork!! ~ can’t wait...
Read moreCozy family-run Italian place. Excellent wine list, and our server Denise was knowledgeable about wine. We had a Fiano di Avellino that was delicious. The food was typical Italian food, nothing fancy or new-age, but solid and comforting.
We had a baked artichoke, which was tasty but more of a rich and homey style with a bready mix crammed into the leaves that was a bit heavy for what I'd like from an artichoke. I had Fluke Milanese, which could have been crispier but the fish was fresh and the pasta was perfect. It was quite lemony but I enjoyed it, though the bell peppers felt out of place in the dish, and I only got two spears of asparagus. My girlfriend had crab ravioli which was also well-made but the sharp lemon flavor was a bit overpowering.
The owners cook in the kitchen themselves, which is a good sign. We'll have to come back and try some more traditional pasta dishes. The menu is not huge, but that can be a good thing. We had reservations but still had to wait for a table while the hostess and another staff member deliberated over where to seat us for quite a while.
Overall, the food was good but could have been a little bit better. If you like traditional Italian-American and don't have high-end foodie expectations you will leave full...
Read moreWe dined here on a Saturday night, expecting it to be amazing, but it wasn't. Beautiful garden area with nice outdoor seating and lovely tables near a small fountain and many pretty flowers. However, when it comes to the service, me and my family did not feel very welcomed. It was just mediocre at best. Our server was cold, inattentive and lacking customer service skills. Next up, the food. It was simply okay, but not really. For what is considered an upscale Italian restaurant, we were all expecting better. And if you take the very expensive prices into account, it makes it even worse. Pasta primavera was bad. Flavorless, bland, and my son could have made it at home better. When it came to the peach insalata salad, it was also just okay, but not okay for this establishment. Veal parm was tiny, with 90 precent of the portion being pasta, and 10 percent of the portion being the actual veal. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely, the service wasn't up to par, and the food...
