Wow . What a disappointment. We have been passing this place for a long time going out east. Decided to stop with my wife last night to check the place out. Placed our order with couple of beers. Beers arrived in 7 minutes, however the food, barbecued pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches on a bun, must have gotten stuck in traffic. One hour and 3 minutes later, they arrived cold and dry, and I mean dry. During that 1 hour and 3 minutes, the waiter would check in a couple of times to apologize for the long wait. He felt bad and apologized. He offered bag of chips to keep us going until the food arrived. We accepted the chips, comped?? Needless to say our beers were done. Food arrived , cold and dry as stated earlier. Barbecue sauce must have been on strike. Dry sandwiches like the Sahara dessert. 20 minutes later, asked for the check. Over 70 dollars and charged for the small bag of chips. Not comped.Later that night, my wife was vomiting and had bad cramps. Not a good night. First and last experience at this place was bad. Can't blame the waiter. It was not that crowded when we arrived.I think we will continue passing this place when we go out east from now on. Only good part from this experience ...
Read morefood is okay but not for the price, the service was medicore at best. they charged 16$ for a non alcoholic drink, which was overly sweet and flat. the burger is cheap you can just taste it plus they donât even ask how you want it cooked, so if you like ANY pink youâre out of luck. brisket sandwich was okay, the actual meat itself was seasoned well but it was dry. they have a âhotâ barbecue sauce, might as well just look at a pepper and iâd have the same spice experience, not to mention it was VERY sweet. got a side of fryâs, completely over seasoned and so soggy. as said, our actual waiter came to the table twice. drinks were left empty, plates were left dirty. had to ask several other people for stuff we should have had to begin with. even with all of that we paid 100$ which is INSANE for the quality of food. two sandwiches with a âsideâ of chips shouldnât cost 50. the only upside was the beer and the fried pickles. the pickles tasted fresh at the very least, beer was delicious. most of the staff were excellent minus our server as said. if you like burning money on crappy food,...
Read moreThis place is fantastic. The BBQ is for real. They have an amazing smoker operation like you'd see in Austin or Houston. A massive converted gas storage tank. You know it's there before you see it because the smell of great BBQ is in the air (if I seem excited for Long Island, I am). I had a pulled chicken sandwich and my wife had pulled pork. We both had cole slaw and iced tea. Both sandwiches were served with perfectly smoked and cooked meats. The cole slaw (not easy to do right) was spot on. Not a heavy mayo and sweet concoction. It let the shredded cabbage make its own sauce. A touch of vinegar. Some other spices I couldn't identify gave it a lingering heat. Maybe celery salt? Either way, I would get the slaw again. I had my chicken with spicy BBQ sauce that was so good that I asked for more, and then asked to buy a bottle for take home. I asked; they make it themselves. It's a little ways out on the north fork, but there are outdoor games for everyone. When I was there they had a band and an outdoor oyster shucker. Clean environment, nice bar, and fantastic service....
