Unsuspecting customers who walk towards the rear of this restaurant will see this deliciously Italian eatery transform itself from pizzeria to warm bar to fine dining restaurant, large enough to entertain parties over 100 guests. Honestly a great use of space as when we dined here, every room had guests enjoying their dinners. The menu is both traditional and creative. Tonight I ordered the broiled fish dinner that included baked clams, shrimps, scallops, lobster tail, and filet on top of your choice of pasta. The pasta was tossed in a light lemon, butter, oil, garlic sauce that was the perfect match for the array of seafood. It was all cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the Frutti di Mare, an appetizer for two but enjoyed it all by himself. It was served cold, on a large platter that included shrimp, calamari, mussels, bay scallops, sitting on top of a bed of mixed greens with celery and onion tossed in a tangy vinaigrette dressing. Our best friends enjoyed Salmon prepared two different ways and each to their likenings. Theirs were served with sauteed seasonal vegetables and one with a sweet balsamic glaze. Additionally, we gobbled up the best garlic knots for miles around. Petite, soft, buttery, topped with minced garlic and oregano dusted with grated pecorino romano. These were divine. Read moreCredit card users be aware, you are charged 4% more here to use plastic. They advertise this as a “cash discount” but there isn’t any discount no matter how you pay. Nothing but a play on words. If it is a discount, then the cash paying customer would pay less than the displayed price. Instead, the cash paying customer is paying the same displayed price and the CC user is paying 4% more. I sold merchant accounts in the past in this doesn’t sit well with me. Business Owners…you are not required to have a “merchant account”. You could have a cash only business but it is documented that you will increase sales by at least 20% by accepting cards. Your fees are a tax deductible. I don’t understand why merchants focus on the negative when it comes to their merchant account and now they want to punish a person who doesn’t carry cash but is likely to spend more money because they don’t. You are being reported to the BBB, NYS Attorney General and credit card companies. I refuse to support a business that views credit card...
Read moreToo bad you can't give zero stars. Tonight we ordered a pizza, someone in our party sudden spit something out that was in her pizza. It was a sharp METAL object. Like a thick staple or metal shaving. She cut her gum up on the metal object. I called back and asked to speak with a manager and explained the situation and said we would come down with it for them to see it. His response was "outstanding". When we got there they were all standing in the back of the store, obviously so no customers could hear what was going on. They apologized and said it was was the Brillo pad (NO) and then said it was the metal pan shaving (maybe) THEN changed their whole story and blamed someone else- they showed us all of the metal pans they use to make yet another excuse as to why the metal object didn't come from their store- saying it must have been in chopped meat the get for the meatballs. We had to ask them to refund our meal and still they were reluctant. I wasn't happy with my meal and I wasn't happy with...
