Homestead Inn — Restaurant in Town of Southport

As we walked in the stench of Fabuloso cleaner hit us like a fist… the bartender literally didn’t look up from her phone as she (obviously irritated) asked me what I wanted… the ENTIRE time we were there- and I am not exaggerating in the slightest- there was a woman-child at the bar literally screaming conversation at the bartender- and from “regulars” I’m told this is a regular family thing- who we had to listen to for the duration of our stay.. the bartender skipped another patrons song in the jukebox, and gave no recognition as he protested.. there is no food menu except written on the wall which we had to read next to the screaming meme… so needless to say, we will definitely NOT be coming back, and I think every positive review was written either by someone that cannot hear or is a regular patron of the bar that has a high tolerance for screaming women, a nostril burning, eye watering cleanser, and a bartender with zero personality or people skills, or...

This visit was just a quick one. Giving a friend a ride in fact if I recall correctly. However as for the Homestead itself I would have to say that in general it is what you would expect from a small local bar. It has drinks as is the normal with any bar of course. They have some food items available. Somewhat typical bar food. Fried items and the like are available to my knowledge. I however have not sampled the menu so cannot give an objective review myself.
