Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Town of Southport

Terrible experience at this store for the second time. The first time, I pulled into the drive-thru and they immediately informed me that they didn't have any taco bell. Not a big deal, because we were in the mood for chicken that day anyhow. Before I could say anything, the guy says, "oh we don't have any chicken either." I'm at a KFC/Taco Bell, they don't have any tacos or chicken!? Thinking he was joking I asked "are you serious"and to my surprise, they were definitely serious. Naturally, I said nevermind and went rlsewhere. So I decided to try again. This time, I put in my order online and arrived at the store at 8:25 PM. I checked the tracker, and my order was complete and ready to be picked up. I sent my husband in, (since they told me I couldn't pick up in drive-thru) at 8:42 he came back empty handed and said they didn't have the order. Thankfully, I had the reciept in my phone, so I went inside myself. Pure CHAOS! People complaining about their order, people wondering where their order was, someone walked in claiming they were in the drive-thru and received the wrong order. The lady at the counter took the bag, went to the back, came out and handed the guy a separate bag and apologized. The lady in front of me wanted to pick up her mobile order and was told it wasn't ready, despite the tracker saying otherwise. At this time I speak up and say "mine says it was done at 8:25" she asks my name, goes to the back comes back with a bag (that I'm pretty sure was just brought back in by the drive thru guy) hands it to me and turns to the next customer. No drinks, food was all there but considering it was done at 8:25 and I didn't get it until 8:53, it was...

I am absolutely obsessed with the south side Taco Bell kfc. I’ve lived in the area my entire life and frequented this establishment numerous times in the past 6 years since I was a teenager. The vibes in this place are 100% insane. Everyone hates each other. They’re speeding around like they’re understaffed but you look back there and there’s 8 people. They never hand a drive thru order thru the window. I watched them bring out 10 orders to the “pull ahead and wait” spot tonight but the drive thru line was never full. I always get my order without any dairy products and they seemingly religiously mess my order up and put dairy on it. I always get a free taco coupon because of this and I’m a very patient person so I don’t mind. Sometimes when I’m in a hurry I’ll go to the Taco Bell in big flats but I love how there’s always some sort of commotion at this one and that’s what keeps me coming back. There is never a dull moment. They’ll remake your food if you ask. Definitely worth a visit if you like that kind of thing. I harbor no ill will against the staff, this seems like the kind of workplace culture that could only be fixed by starting completely over from scratch, I don’t think there’s any recourse currently that could solve what goes on here. Tonight I watched an old man in a camo jacket yell at the staff for getting his order wrong and I felt for them. He clearly came under the wrong pretenses and misunderstood the experience of the restaurant. This is the worst food you can possibly buy. Not because its KFC or Taco Bell but because the quality of the food is trash and then so is the service. Last time I was here I waited 20 minutes from the time I finished paying until I actually received my food. And I wouldn't mind waiting as much if the food was actually good but it wasn't. I had Chicken tacos with chicken that was rock hard with mostly this rock hard breading and virtually no chicken meat. I wouldn't even dare to try to bite into those rocks. The other regular tacos weren't anything to write home about either. They had half the meat they were supposed to and didn't even fill up the entire bottom of the taco shell, but also barely put any cheese on them, maybe I had 3 strands of shredded cheese on my tacos. This wasn't just a one off event where this location was slammed or something. This has become a pattern. The last 3 times I have ate here I had similar experiences. 15+ years ago I use to eat here regularly and it was amazing. Now it is just a shadow of what it once was. There is no fast food place in all of Elmira or Horseheads or Big Flats or Corning as bad as the Southport KFC Taco Bell. If you're in Elmira and want KFC or Taco Bell you need to go to Big Flats or Horseheads or down to the KFC Taco Bell in Sayre, PA. This one might as well not even exist. I will never eat here again and neither should you. Hopefully it goes out of business and something better managed can be put in its place.
