This most recent time @ Fireside was terrible. Normally, it's just alright. Clearly there is a limit to what 1 bartender can manage. Either Alexandra forgot that she made eye contact with me & nodded when I put the $40 on the bar- as regular, seasoned, cash-paying patrons normally do...or someone swiped it off the bar. Either way, it was not applied to my bill. What by the end was 5 beers (3 for me + 2 for friends) ended up costing me $17 (on a check) + $40 that "went missing." $57 for 5 beers on Friday 5/6 or Saturday 5/7... Hey, maybe the bar-back pocketed it... I'll probably never find out.
I intended to get back over there, to meet with the manager/owner- to see if anything was caught on the cameras that night... Life & the bitter taste in my mouth just didn't allow that to come to pass.
Maybe the universe was just telling ME, "Ant...you should stop spending hard-earned money at Fireside."
Don't use this review as a basis. (Google asked me...because I guess they've come to trust my reviews)
Pay with a card on a Friday or Saturday night or have thrm hold a card & settle it with cash at the end of your stay. Don'tgo putting it on the bar. Play your songs on the Jukebox, Throw some Darts... Get an awesome Bar Pizza!! If you're 21-40 & you'd prefer to be around "adults", go to The Copper...
Read moreI came here with mymom and son after a VERY long day filled with tubing, hiking and shopping. After eating things on the go all day, we were looking for a nice spot to sit and relax with a good meal. Fireside did not disappoint. The staff was beyond friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. We had the clam chowder amd calamari. The chowder was probably the best I have ever had, and I am very picky. It was so creamy amd fresh. The calamari was fried perfectly, not oily and paired well with their sauce. We had the chicken Fresca and 6 oz lobster tail with twice baked potatoes. Everything was delicious! We could not have been more happy that we chose this restaurant. To top it off, we asked my son what he wanted for dessert and he said he wished they had red velvet. This is one of his favorites but most restaurants never have it. To our surprise, when the waitress came over to tell us desserts that was the first on the list! Needless to say, my son was very happy. The cake was fantastic!!! We will be back and recommend anyone passing through or staying near by to make a stop here. You won't be...
Read moreWe were immediately seated and the restaurant was half filled, so my family and I were psyched because we figured the service would be quicker. However that was not to be. The house salad and rolls were good. Fried Calamari had no taste. Two Rib-eyes were juicy but no flavor and I mean no flavor. My 12 year old son who loves steaks didn't like it because it lacked flavor. Simple seasoning like from Outback would suffice. The Mahi/Mahi was dry according to my wife. We all also ordered 4 drinks for my family and the drinks came after we were finished with the appetizer. I went to order a beer and I asked the waitress what bottles were available and she said they had a lot. So I ordered a Newcastle Ale, nope, Shocktop, nope, Brooklyn Brown, nope, Stella yes. I will say that they had a band by the bar area that seemed good. I suppose if I went there for just beers I would have been happy....
