Racist and Homophobic... My siblings and I stopped at this business for pizza and ice cream after our annual siblings camping trip with our respective partners at Lake Taghkanic State Park. We placed 7 orders of ice cream and my sister and her girlfriend ordered a small pizza. She asked one of the workers behind the counter how long it would take for the pizza, he said 10 minutes. From the inception, the staff was rude with their responses and unfriendly. Almost 10 customers came in after my sister, placed their order and left with food and my sister was still waiting. After 20 minutes of waiting, she questioned the wait time. The male employee responded, āIām not back here twirling my thumbs on a lunch breakā. She asked why all the other customers received their orders before her and she placed her pizza order before them. He said, āYour ticket is last and you have to waitā. At this moment, it was clear the staff had issues with us, my sister and her partner. About 10 minutes later, she asked for an update on the order. He said, āIām not in the mood for this today, take your order and leave.ā My sister asked for a refund because he was being disrespectful and shouldnāt have to pay for bad service but the owner refused.
At this moment, my brother walked in and heard the manner in which he was talking to our sister. He asked the owner, āis this way you speak to your customersā? The owner slammed his hand down on the counter and said, āGet outā. He walked out from behind the counter, walked to the entrance door, opened it and said to my brother, āyou and your pick pants get outā.
This was a horrifying experience. The staff was incredibly arrogant and disrespectful. To everyone reading this, please save your money and patronize...

From the moment you take your first bite, you'll notice the crust ā it's a masterpiece in itself. Thin and incredibly crispy, it's the perfect foundation for the rich flavors that follow. Thereās something almost magical about it; itās not just a vehicle for the toppings, but a delightful component that elevates the entire pizza experience.
The cheese and sauce at JoJo's are nothing short of amazing. The cheese is perfectly melted and incredibly flavorful, while the sauce strikes a balance between savory and slightly tangy. Itās a combination that you simply wonāt find at many other places. Every bite is a delightful harmony of textures and flavors, making it clear why this spot has stood the test of time.
My go-to order has always been the regular cheese pie. It's simple, but oh-so-satisfying. Whether you're dining in or taking out, you can trust that you wonāt be disappointed. Itās a classic that never goes out of style.
In addition to the delicious food, I appreciate JoJo's commitment to supporting local businesses. Itās always nice to see a restaurant that values community and puts in the effort to source locally when possible.
If you ever find yourself passing through on the Taconic, do yourself a favor and stop by JoJo's Pizzeria. It's a slice of heaven that truly deserves a visit. Trust me, you won't regret it!
And if you agree, give this place a like ā letās help spread the word about this incredible pizzeria! šā¤ļø ... 10...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never experienced such a rude atmosphere in my life. The man at the counter, who I overheard his name was Carlo, was incredibly RUDE to me, my husband and my MIL. We stopped to get a salad for my MIL and I needed a restroom too. When we walked in, he was standing at the counter and from start to finish - you could tell her was annoyed and agitated with us. We were not ordering fast enough, he didnāt like that we asked a question about what was in one of his salads, and after we ordered a salad - I asked him the code to the bathroom (because the signs on the door say bathrooms are for customers only). To which he replied as INCREDIBLY rude to us all and said āis that all youāre getting?ā And I said yes. Then he said, Sorry, bathroom is for dining in customers only. There was no signage indicating that. Then we were like, ādo we need to buy something else?lā and he kept shaking his head saying āI have issues with my water and itās for dining in customers only, sorry.ā And my husband said, ābut we are paying customers? Iām confused!ā Then he started yelling out the code to the bathroom to me repeatedly. I was so taken back. He also told my MIL he couldnāt hear her order if she didnāt look at him and speakā¦.. not even 5 minutes later a group of his friends came by and he was running around the kitchen and talking to them (not looking directly at them and speaking, mind youā¦). Normally, Iād give someone the benefit of the doubt if they are short staffed, but this interaction with him made my blood boil and my stomach turn. I am so disappointed in how this small business handles customer service, especially with women. He was so rude to me and my MIL whenever we...
