Went with a group of people and half were finished before we got our food! We had to go up to the window to see what the problem was and the girl said it’s coming right up, we proceeded to wait while she handed our three more orders to people who arrived after the other half of group got their food. We had a two hour drive home and after waiting 50 minutes for food I asked them to box it up so we could take it to go, still waiting for our order the girl tried to come up with a story about how they didn’t see our food ticket but they made the food. (made absolutely no sense) I just took the food and got in the car once we started driving we pulled the food out we noticed none of the sauces were in any of the boxes (honey mustard for my chicken tenders, cheese sauce for my fries, sour cream and salsa for our nachos..) Now the nachos……. I’ve never been so grossed out by the way something looked. The giant pile of unseasoned dry ground beef the completely black chips and the rubbery cold melted but then hardened cheese. We only got a couple bites out of it because most of the nachos were burnt to the aluminum foil so the 12 dollar nachos were an absolute waste of money. I’m so disappointed because the atmosphere was really nice and the people’s food and ice cream actually looked good. Definitely will not...

Employers need to understand that employees should be fully trained and have a good understanding of arithmetic. Recently my wife and I stopped by in mid afternoon. It was not busy. I get a medium cone with sprinkles and she got a small dish of vanilla with peanut butter sauce. Girl tells me it's $29.00!!! It took me a second and then I said something. Being patient she just dug in an refused to recognize that we were being overcharged by $18.00! Then the other little girls started circling around her as to come to her defense. And I wasn't being belligerent at all!! Then the MGR came over, glanced at the POS screen and started explaining the major inflation in the cost of ice cream! I pointed out that the menu board stated the prices and it didn't add up. He said "We haven't updated our menu board to reflect the actual charges. This is illegal in NYS. After several more rounds of trying to get him and the girls to see common sense, he finally got it. It was an overcharged because the poorly skilled order taker left the previous food order open when she tallied us! Kids are so defensive today. Even tho we were polite and patient it was clear that the young workers were more willing to argue about it because "she couldn't possibly be wrong" Rather than take a...

Stopped there while taking a scenic drive around the entirety of Lake George and we saw words "Ice Cream" and "Tacos" as we drove by. We pulled into the lot using the entrance off of Alexandra Ave. DO NOT DO THIS IN A BASIC CAR. There is a large hump into the lot. It did appear to be an entrance. If you have a higher suspension, you'll be fine. We then were pleasantly surprised over their menu selection. We had each had bacon cheese burgers. They were delicious. "Hit the spot" as one would say. The fries were hot and crispy. This is a outdoor service restaurant. Though you cannot see the lake, you are surrounded by trees. It does make for a relaxing atmosphere. The people taking the orders were friendly and willing to help with any menu questions. We did have to wait for a bit for our food. There were other people waiting as well. This is a made to order restaurant. But on a peaceful summer day, you are just there to relax. This is the perfect place to stop at 1/2 way around the lake if leaving from Lake George village.

FYI's:

  1. They was only a Porta-Potty. It was clean inside.
  2. Plenty of parking.
  3. Outdoor seating.
  4. Don't forget to take a selfie with the Polar Bear!
  5. Reasonable prices. It's not tourist...

Wind Chill Factory is such a great stop! It’s a fun, fast-casual, window-service spot right off the highway, and they have a huge selection—everything from burgers, hot dogs, nuggets, and salads to pizza. Plus, the ice cream options are endless! The food came out quickly, everything was fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent—friendly and efficient. Seating is all outdoors with plenty of picnic-style tables, which adds to the casual roadside vibe. Parking is decent, and while it’s a quick pull in and out with traffic, it’s definitely worth the stop. A perfect place for a casual meal or a sweet treat!

We always get ice cream here my kids love it, we never have ordered food. Tonight we did and it took 2hrs cause she brought it to the wrong house, then came and forgot the drinks and was given a 100.00 bill but gave us 30 back for a 40.00 meal. She did end up bringing us back some of the money after I called but then after being told our food was being made fresh again it came looking and tasting burnt. Ice cream is amazing but will not order food from here again

The Wind-Chill Factory serves up some great food. Their ice cream is top notch. They also have a large menu of roadside stand food to choose from. You can get pizza, burgers, salads, chicken tenders, fries, hot dogs, or sandwiches amongst the many choices. It is easy to order online and they advertise an app for the restaurant. Service was friendly and food was done on time. Great place to grab a bite to eat in Ticonderoga.
