Flavors of Jean — Restaurant in Town of Tonawanda

First time I ordered I had got some honey Cajun wings and they were great. Second time I ordered not so great…The lady who runs this establishment has a nasty attitude and argues with her customers.I had ordered a fish dinner it came with 3 sides, banana pudding and a bev. I also added an extra side of Mac for my baby that I never received. I called in and advised her she never packed my additional side of Mac n cheese and that I wanted to come pick it up. She says “I know I put it in there but you can come get it.” I’m telling her there is only one side of Mac in here not 2, she starts arguing me down that she knows she packed it. I brought everything back exactly how it was packaged not even 15mins after leaving the place, and showed her that there was no additional side of mac and she continues to say she knows that she packed it. The person she’s on the phone with proceeds to say “people always trying to get over on a something.” How am I trying to get over on something I never received boo 🤔? It’s around dinner time and I could understand the slip up, but take accountability shit happens! At this point my appetite is lost and I’m tired of going back and forth, I leave the food that I ordered at the establishment. We ordered from DoorDash tonight. We had issues with our order as some things were not correct. This happens a lot with DoorDash. Most of the time I don’t say anything because it isn’t worth the hassle. But, since this was my first time ordering I wanted to call and see what happened. One of the owners, Chaniqua, answered and took my call. Although things were incorrect, it really wasn’t their fault. But hey demeanor and willingness to fix the issue made me a long term customer. When an establishment recognizes my value as a customer and corrects the mistake with a kind attitude, that goes a long way. I really appreciated that. Thank you, Chaniqua. Placed order on doordash , new to the Buffalo area so wanted to try some soul food. I got the haddock fish dinner with 3 sides , drink and desert. I chose baked beans, collard greens with turkey , Mac and cheese ( I ordered extra), cheesecake and a ginger ale.

The food was decent ,but not good enough to be $30-40 worth. The Mac and cheese was okay. The cheesecake was hot. Cheeswcake is better when cold. The baked beans were normal ( nothing special ) , like canned beans. The collard greens didn't have turkey in them and had no flavor whatsoever. The fish was dry with no flavor. I more than likely won't order from them again.
