Nephew’s BBQ — Restaurant in Buffalo

I’ve been wanting to try this place especially because it is a small black owned business and I adored what I have known to be the motivation of this place is that was the uncle I visited every weekend while being pregnant from the other side of town and occasionally ran into at the casino until his passing, I am not writing this review for any other reason than CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! The service 10/10 ! Atmosphere 10/10 the food EH strong 4 and that is considering prices !!! Today we ordered a rib sandwich (no bread was delivered) the ribs were bitter and the texture was disappointing, the catfish was decent (again no bread delivered) sandwich as well! My brother loved the wings but returned the rib and catfish to the plate that was offered, saying it was not enjoyable! Our bill came to 88.63 and we tipped $22 dollars because the waitress was amazing and traffic was slow drinks were also weak. I want to return but something needs to change, much love...

Came to this restaurant yesterday bought two meals for my wife for myself went home. The meals looked Like someone took my hat out then and just shake it up in a box My wife did not even touch it. I ordered a rib dinner with mac & cheese and green beans and banana pudding.. After eating this dinner, I I spent the whole night in the bathroom and also the morning. I don’t know what type of cross-contamination they have going on in this restaurant, but it is definitely not a clean atmosphere. There’s no way I should’ve been as sick as I was last night. I went to the restaurant to speak to the owner and told me that he could not believe that he got me sick. I did not eat anywhere else but this place it’s totally unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The customer service as well as the ownership is not up to par. They’re not gonna serve you as you should be served as a customer. Initially I gave Nephews 5 stars across. After my last encounter I had to edit my review. Previously I ate in and the food was very good. It appears if you decide on take-out......well....let's just say good luck. During this latest visit I was greeted with a sewage smell as soon as I entered. We sat at the bar, ordered a couple of drinks and ordered food to go (1/2 chicken BBQ and a 20 piece wing order). When we got home we found the 1/2 chicken was more of a 1/2 cornish hen with no breast or wing. Just a drumstick, a thigh and a back. Yup a back...seriously?. How do you consider a 1/2 of a chicken with no breast or wing. IJS. The wings were not much better. True to form, all drums (no flats). One thing that will lose customers is a lack of consistency.
