The Fire Spot Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Tonawanda

Absolutely loved this hidden gem!!! Me and my wife went here today for dinner/ lunch and were instantly greeted with smiling faces and amazing hospitality. You instantly feel like you’re at your grandma/ grandpas/ uncles house the second you enter. They go out their way to make you feel welcomed. Everyone is being their selves and laughing the whole time. As far as the food….. 100% worth the time/money to get some. The fish was beautifully cooked to the tee and battered even better, well seasoned with just the right amount. Every thing fried didn’t even have the smaller amount of grease on anything. The Mac and cheese actually had cheese guys! Definitely home made and made with love. Couldn’t advise a better restaurant owned by a humble fire fighter just making people laugh!

I finally got to stop by the Fire Spot and it didn't disappoint. Located with a view of the river, the owner Rodney and his staff&friends are so hospitable. I came in to do some work on my computer and try the chicken and waffles but ended up chatting with Rodney, his friends and other restaurant guest. Don't expect the food to be out in 5 mins cause you can tell it's battered fresh per order, so come ready to relax for a minute. The waffles looked like waffles but don't be fooled; the combination taste of the batter, butter, syrup and chicken skin just melted your taste buds. I cannot say enough great things about Mr Rodney and the amazing cooks at the fire spot! My husband and I came in on a whim after hearing about their shrimp and grits. While waiting for our take out order, the owner, Rodney made us feel more like guests than customers. His attention to detail, his kindness and his welcoming greeting let my husband and I know we were in the right place. We walked in as customers and left feeling like family. Please don’t skip over the crispy chicken skin on the menu! Or their fish fry!!
