You get one shot at a grand opening. They're never easy, but unfortunately this one came up short. None of the online orders were received, regardless of confirmation, and no announcement was made to the 15-20 customers waiting in line. Only after you finally made your way to the counter, after having waited almost 20 minutes, were you informed that online ordering was down and your order never registered. No communication or apology. Wait time was 30 to 45 mins for take out if you had even more time to spare. Half the line walked out, including me. Only one young girl working the counter. Seriously understaffed for a grand opening.

We spontaneously decided to grab dinner here recently & by my 2nd or 3rd bite, I immediately fell in love with the place!! 😋😍 The food was sooooooooooo freakin delicious & portions were generous!! The egg rolls are to die for, I got sweet & sour chicken & no joke, it was literally the BEST I've ever had before, from anywhere!! Ever! Seriously! Service was great, didn't have to wait long & I didn't have to go far from home to get it! China Gourmet is spectacular! I am so happy that we have a Chinese restaurant in Barneveld. It is super close and convenient for individuals living in Trenton and the surrounding areas. The food is delicious, and the service was top-tier! The grand opening of any business is tremendously difficult, but doing so in a neat advisory is nearly impossible. However, China Gourmet didn’t let the heat get in their way. They were determined to showcase their excellent cuisine, commitment to customer service, and little to no wait times.
