Food: Ordered a Smoke and Pepper Burger with standard fries, "pink". 22oz Stella Beer Total for beer and a burger... $28 + $6 tip. Fried pickle buttons (or whatever name they use for them here, paid for on a seperate check)
Burger was well done, instead of pink as ordered. Over-seasoned... nothing but salt. Bacon was overly salty on the burger as well, and whoever salted the fries appeared to have too much fun. I like salt... and this entire dish had more than the beach.
Pickles left more to be desired, rather mushy, againt more salty coating, and the dipping sauce did not match up.
Beer was not very cold...and when you order a large beer... you want it cold or else its going to be warm halfway through drinking it.
Service: We were seated immediately, waited about 5 minutes for a waitress. Waitress had to come back twice to ask us what our drinks were.
Meals came out first, appetizers came out 10 minutes after the meals did. 2 random waitresses stood around looking confused, as they did not know where the appetizers were going. (turns out somone put the wrong electronic kiosk on our table)
Halfway through eating...we were asked by another waitress if we wanted to sign up for a rewards program. Really? Your going to interrupt everyone's meals and conversations to offer a rewards program?
It appears you pay at the table here.... but our kiosk had someone's elses order on it. We may have even charged a game to someone elses table (yes, be warned the games on the kiosk tablets are $1.99). It took about 15 minutes to get the correct bill... after the waitress had to re-write down our orders, and bring our credit cards to be processed elsewhere. No "how was everythign, or your experience" was asked... something that should probably be done on your first week or two being open.
Something interesting... The place is carpeted, however there were 4 waitresses sweeping the carpet...almost non-stop. Who sweeps carpets?
There are much better options in the area for burgers, that cost less, and offer better service and cheaper, colder beer. Even once the service quirks are worked out... $28 for a burger, cup of fries, and a beer is ridiculous (oh, we were never offered more "bottomless fries" until we paid our bills). Spend your money elsewhere, this place isnt even worth the "wow, a new...
Read moreStaff member was very nice but a bit "scattered" so to speak. He got our appetizer and drinks and then came to take our order. He didn't refill drinks well either unprompted or prompted. When my burger came it was wrong. He apologized and took it to be fixed. Meanwhile I ate some pickle nickels (excellent) and had some fries. The waiter brought back my burger after a bit. It looked right to the exclusion of not having the extra pineapple I had asked for. Unfortunately, after I took a few bites I could see that even though I had ordered "no pink" the burger was quite pink. I have a primary immune disorder and this it is unsafe for me to eat it that way. By this time my companion was most of the way through his meal. The waiter seemed to be jumping around all over the place and did not get back to our table until my friend was already ready for a box. I told him and showed him that the burger was very pink and that I could not eat it (there was 90% of it left). He told me that I should have mentioned it earlier. I said that I didn't know it was pink until I started to eat it. I also feel like if you have to send something back twice the staff can get upset. He did not offer to make me another to go (which would certainly have made me happy since the burger was the entire reason I went to the restaurant) or to take some money off the bill, just said he would get me some dessert stick things which are something I don't eat. Basically I didn't get the most important part of my meal- the protein and the experience was not a positive one.
I have been to Red Robin other times and had a wonderful experience. I don't know if this waiter was inexperienced or just totally overwhelmed, but fixing me another burger would have made me extremely happy. Mistakes don't bother me but not offering to fix them does. Also, my number one rule for being a good waiter is to always keep drinks filled and that was not done well.
I will return sometime and hope that I can not only get a burger that looks pretty but that I...
Read moreThis is easily my favorite spot to dine out at in the area.
The garlic fries are awesome. I highly recommend anyone try them who likes garlic and the steak fries.
The burgers are incredible and if you really want to get more flavor out of them, get them wrapped in lettuce. I kid you not. It really brings out so much more of the flavors of what's in the burger. It's my new favorite thing to do.
You can get broccoli, zucchini fries, sweet potato fries, steak fries, garlic fries, a side salad, or Yukon chips and they're all bottomless! You may pay a slight upcharge depending on your chosen side but you only pay it once and then the side is bottomless!
You can get bottomless sodas, root beer floats, creme sodas, teas, or their lemonades or limeade! On top of that, they have a great selection of alcoholic and spiked beverages which are simply amazing.
Smooth it all off with the Red Robin Loyalty club and you get discounts to your meals and every 10th burger is free! What's not to love about this place? I mean there really isn't a reason to not come here! Keep up the great work RR staff! And...
