Upon arrival at RT 96 BBQ, one is immediately greeted by the practical elegance of ample parking and thoughtful wheelchair accessibility. Once inside, while the restaurant doesn't inundate with opulence, the cleanliness and absence of invasive kitchen odors present an inviting atmosphere. The Young Lion 16oz IPA stands as a herald of the beverage offerings, a satisfying selection priced commendably at $5 per can. Transitioning to the culinary arena, the dining experience truly dazzles. The ribs, artistically charred but never burnt, exude culinary mastery. The brisket, a symphony of tenderness and flavor, along with the salmon, seasoned with an expert's hand, compose a delectable ensemble. In the comparison with Dinosaur BBQ, RT 96 BBQ emerges as a luminary. The fluctuating quality at Dinosaur BBQ simply cannot stand against the consistent excellence exhibited by RT 96 BBQ. Be it the generous portions, the impeccable quality, or the attentive service, this establishment earns accolades. In conclusion, RT 96 BBQ triumphs not only in the execution of its menu but also in crafting a harmonious dining experience that resonates with quality. The proprietor's dedication has indeed paid off, setting a benchmark that deserves applause. Bravo!

I went here and got the 3x3 Platter consisting of Pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, potato salad, collard greens, and fries. The platters come with cornbread, pickles, and pork rinds. I also got an order of fried pickles as an appetizer. The fried pickles were amazing. Sour and tangy while still be warm throughout. They don’t pull all the breading off when you take a bite and that sauce is fantastic. The pork ribs were divine. They are seasoned to perfection and don’t even need sauce on them. The vinegar cuts right through and enhances the flavor of the meat. The pulled pork was delicious, the bark was good and the meat itself was moist. The brisket had phenomenal flavor and was a good mix of fatty and lean meat. The potato salad was good. Creamy and flavorful with a hint of mustard. The fries crispy and hot, seasoned and a good accompaniment to the meat. The collards were juicy but lacked salt and seasoning. I really enjoyed my meal and experience here. Thank you so much for serving up some delicious barbecue!

Place was nice - looked recently renovated; service was nice - we thought the food was just OK. Nothing was bad - but nothing was very good either: The appetizers we had (deviled eggs and the Texas twinkies) we liked very much! Probably the best part of our meal - and the cornbread we thought was good too. Ribs, pulled pork, and brisket were all on the dry side, and neither of the sauces we thought were particularly good (mustard was on the sweet side and the BBQ sauce needed several somethings). The baked beans, Cole slaw, and potato salad were OK- macaroni salad we thought was pretty boring. Nice value too - thought the price was reasonable for the quantity of food we got - but we just wanted better.

My family recently visited route 96 bbq for a nice night out on a friday. Once we got to the restaurant and out of the car, the first thing you can notice is the delightful smell of smoked meat. When we walked into the restaurant, that smell was slightly over powered by the smell of the wood. My guess would be that its because this place is still relatively new. I would say that the inside looked fairly small. While there is not a ton of seating, its a bbq joint and i would not anticipate it being hard to get a table within 10 to 20 minutes.

The menus are odd. The front cover has text in a different direction than the rest of the menu and its printed out on a 8.5×11. This is my only complaint but i can see the desire for the cost cutting here. I personally thought everything on the menu was reasonably priced and fairly consistent with dinasour and sticky lips. It is a little disappointed a full rack is not on the menu, at least from what i saw.

Our service was great, our waiter filled up drinks, checked on us the right amount of frequency, and was friendly. He seemed new to serving as one time he didnt ask everyone for something and he ended up having tk run back inside 3 times in a row (we were on the very small patio).

As far as the food goes, it was a splendid experiance. All of the food we got was delicious. So much so that i certainly over ate but it was so worth it. Perhaps people may not like that they currently only have 1 sauce butt i can tell you its really good. The brisket is amazing and a must get. The ribs were also fall off the bone tasty. The side were equally as good as the main course. I personally thought that the beans were better re-heated the next day and you should make sure that your mean comes with the cornbread which is also fantastic. I can't rate the food here high enough. You really need to go try it...

Well I can't even give one star. First time experience was terrible. I called in an order for pick up and was told that it would be ONE HOUR before it would be ready. I thought, well...I have some time so...okay. Arrived at 6pm to several people waiting. One person commented that he had been there for 30 minutes already and his food was not ready. The two women working seemed overwhelmed and were very curt with responses when a question was asked of them. The 30 minute man stormed away.. The cook was saying that they didn't have anymore chicken. Which is what I had to substitute on my salad as they didn't have any turkey at 5pm I finally made it to the counter and gave my name, was told how much my order was, paid for it only to be told the food was not ready. When I explained that I had called in over an hour ago and arrived when I was told to be there, the woman rudely told me that they were behind and I would just have to wait. Had she offered even the slightest apology for the delay or even been somewhat kind, I would have waited. But I will not tolerate being spoken to rudely or accept someones' bad behavior AND pay them to provide what they must have been hired for. When I asked for my money back, it just seemed to escalate. She dropped my money on the counter with a " there" response. I've had bad days at work, but am unsure how the owners of this business can allow this treatment. Maybe she is an owner and just doesn't care.... I spent $400 on gift cards at Christmas time for these 3 restaurants, and will hesitate to...

Planned a date night and decided to stop in for BBQ. We went inside and didn't have to wait long. The woman sat us at the large booth and then we didn't see anyone for 10 minutes. The waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order and I told her we'd like drinks first. They were out of unsweetened iced tea so I ordered water. We ordered our food and an appetizer. The appetizer came out and was just ok. The Texas Twinkies were just greasy and mushy at best. We waited about 45 minutes for our food and we're disappointed that all of it was cold or just barely warm. The waitress never came to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. When we finally had the waitress come over, I asked for the bill and she asked how everything was and I told her cold! She apologized and offered to get me replacement sides. I declined and she brought me the bill. She removed my meal but really, I would have preferred to have a good meal. It was nice that she took off my meal but it could have been remedied if she had asked me a few minutes after the meal came out. I want to add a few things. The place only has 10 tables and they weren't full so there was no reason we couldn't have been attended to. When we were waiting for our food, the two waitresses were 3ft. away from our table badmouthing the restaurant and stated several times how the place was horrible and they could do better. Bad service, poor food quality and the bathrooms...
