I will say this up front. Our server, though not great at his job, was very friendly. The wait for a table was too long. See my review on Greek Peak and Hope Lake Lodge as it explains that we were given a voucher which paid for this meal. We came in with expectations but with little to lose if the food was horrible. I won't say it was horrible. It was institutional grade, which is far less than expected at a resort and definitely not par with the pricing. Again, the server was really nice, and I could tell that much of the wait we experienced was likely due to the processes implemented by the resort. No free pass, however, as at one point my wife asked for a side of ranch for her salad and it took nearly 10 minutes; in which time our server found time to go back to his station and at one point come to the table next to us to check for a tip left on the table. Possibly the most annoying, yet at this point expected, element is the lack of a spoon or the availability there of. They have a soup selection, so why not have spoons? She drank from the dish, as a spoon never manifested. If you're staying at the resort, this food is serviceable. I just wouldn't go expecting more than enough. As for the 5 star ratings, I'm guessing they are locals or family of employees, as there is no way this is a 5 star on...
Read moreI came in from the ski resort side and there was no sign saying I had to reserve a table, so I sat down at one and waited for my family to arrive. One of the servers then starts talking to another basically saying I'm being dumb and I just sat down and they hadn't cleaned it yet. So I cleared my stuff off the table and waited for them to clear it. 10 minutes go by and the server comes up to me and says something along the lines of "you need to leave because you didn't reserve a table and we need this table so you can't sit here." She then tells me that I need to put my name down to reserve a table, but I'm not the one paying and I'm not even an adult, so it would look kinda weird if I went to reserve a table on my own. The waiting area also only has a couple chairs in it and basically everyone is standing, including elderly folks. Overall, bad service, I don't even want to...
Read moreMy family and I came here to eat on a Friday afternoon after driving 3 hours. It was not busy at all. Our experience started with the hostess, who was less than enthused to be working at Trax. She was not friendly at all. She sat us down and we waited for about 15 minutes until I finally got up and found someone. The waitress said she didn’t know anyone was seated there and someone would be right over. Another waitress returned and was again, less than enthused to be there. I saw the other younger waitress laughing and having fun with her guests. Our waitress was annoyed when I simply asked for ketchup and straws. The food was nothing to be impressed about. We ate it because we were starving but it was nothing to rave about. A lot of people seem to enjoy this restaurant but for us, we won’t be back. A smile truly goes a long way. Way over...
