Quickway Diner — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

Food was absolutely disgusting. Soda didn't even taste like soda. Burger smelled weird and tasted rotten. Fries were half decent. Chili on fries was sweet like they put sugar in it. Definitely not the place it used to be.

Edit: Sense I can't comment back to the owner who commented on my review. I'm glad you sell 400 to 500 burgers a day. Fantastic for you. We would have told our waiter but she was too busy chatting with every co worker to check on us. She didn't even smile the whole time. She didn't give us a name or was wearing a badge. She acted like my kids and I were a burden to her. I had to get up and walk over to her while she was having a conversation the whole time to just get something. I get that I could have told her and maybe there would have been a solution or some sort of compromise but it was pointless. Maybe you shouldn't be so defensive when you get a bad review and look at it as an opportunity to see if that was an actual issue and resolve it. I read most of the negative reviews and you commented on most of them with a tone of "I know my business is great and you're wrong". You take the bad and try to make it better. You apologize for the bad experience and try to make it better. Still not...

No idea how this place got more than one star. We came into a virtually empty restaurant. We ordered omelettes and our mother ordered soup. Her soup was brought out immediately and it took 25 minutes for our omelettes to come out. Needless to say, she was done with her soup before our food even came out. When the food finally came, they screwed up our order and then it took another 10 minutes to fix it; the omelettes were bone dry, the chicken was rubbery. I always finish my entire meal. I tried and couldn’t. It was just not good food. This would have been kind of bearable if our waitress wasn’t absolutely useless. She never checked on us. We had to get up to get our own water refills and instead of someone at the counter just getting us fresh waters, we were rudely told to wait for our waitress...who didn’t come for another 15 minutes. While we waited all this time, a couple to the left of us got up and left in disgust and they also screwed up the order of the people behind us. This horrible experience ended with us waiting forever for our check and a to-go container that never came. My wife had to go up and ask for both. Sorry Teek and Vee, this is NOT the place to be. I only ate at this place once, it was a few years ago. After a concert, some friends and I decided to grab a late night bite to eat. We were promptly seated in an essentially empty restaurant. A surly ogre white trash waitress eventually came out to take our drink orders, and we asked for silverware since we had none. We received our drinks, and moments later we received our silverware, dumped from a bucket onto the middle of the table.

By the time we got our food, the roots of her hydrogen peroxide blondish orange dye job were noticeably longer. The food was average at best, the service was awful. She was rude, unresponsive and all around terrible. We were nothing but kind from the get go, but by the end of the meal I was beyond pissed off. Then the icing on this crap cake:

We asked for a check, only to find an 18% automatic gratuity added.

I walked up to Teek or Vee whichever one was there, and told him I don't feel I should have to pay this. He essentially told my group of friends, if we didn't pay it, he'd call the police. I'm glad these guys stick up for the awful wait staff to the point of snubbing off real customers that spent over $100 in their dump. If you eat at this vile restaurant twice,...
