Awesome place with amazing food and atmosphere! So far I've tried the burgers, chicken sandwich, quesadilla, french onion soup, truffle fries and quinoa salad, never had anything I didn't like. Prime Rib special is a must! Outside is newly renovated, added new fencing and picnic tables and lots of outdoor seating. Bar is a lot of fun as well, great drink specials. I find their weekly events like live music and karaoke nights on their Facebook page.

I ordered chicken strips with sweet potatoe fries that wouldn’t stand because of the weight from the oil. Terrible we found out once the bill came for take out that the wings are no 50 cents on Sunday, they said dine in. But the board on wall with specials does not say dine in or take out. $28 dollars for 20 wings. What a rip off 😞

Lovely atmosphere, great customer service, Leena treated us super nice, food very good and perfect location for an easy stop while we were out for a ride, definitely a place to pin point on the map!

Last Friday night was our first time eating at The Horse & Sulky in Bloomingburg. Everything was wonderful, from the service to the food. I had the best French fries I have ever eaten, and both my husband’s and my meals were delicious. We were so thrilled that we found a “new” place that we looked forward to returning last night for our Friday night out meal. Sorry to say, if last night were our first time there, there wouldn’t be a second time. It was a complete opposite experience. It was a busy Friday night. There was no designated host/hostess, so the wait staff was seating people willy-nilly, with no visible plan. One of the servers told us that when a table of 6 left that they would split their 2 tables, clean them, and my husband and I would be seated at one of those tables. Meanwhile, a group of 5 people came in right after us, and another server greeted them. They had made a reservation, and at the time of reservation they requested a high-top in the bar area; a different server informed them that there wasn’t a high-top available; she proceeded to tell them that they could have the table that the other server had just promised us! I spoke up, and the group of 5 was seated elsewhere. Meanwhile, the group of 6 left the table that was going to be split for us; I watched a server clear the table and reset it---without wiping anything down! I walked over to her and asked her if she would wipe down the table for us, since we are still in this Covid-era (there are “dine safely” signs in the restaurant!). She apologized, and obliged. I will add that they did not wipe down the menus between customers; after customers ordered their meals, the staff returned the menus to the counter next to where we were seated--ironically next to a “dine safely” sign—and handed them out to the next customers without having wiped them down. When our food arrived, I was disappointed to see that the French fries that I had been so looking forward to all week didn’t look like last week’s French fries at all—and even more disappointed that they were COLD! Not even a little bit warm. I asked the waiter for hot fries; my fries were sent back to the kitchen to be reheated. I was taken aback that they didn’t just bring out fresh, hot fries, but whatever. They came back out hot. The rest of our meal was good, but the different French fries—which were nothing like last week’s—were disappointing, even when hot. Inconsistency in the food. I know in this Covid work climate that it is hard to find help, let alone good help. This staff was young, obviously inexperienced, not well trained, and did not work well together. It was a hot mess last night. We won’t be...

For many years, I’ve been to this place and the food was always consistent and the best thing about this place was the customer service. You were always greeted with a smile and you just knew who was serving you. People go through good days and bad days. I totally understand that but if you’re having a bad day, don’t bring those vibes to your customers. My family and I were not even greeted, waitress had such a face like we were bothering her, No smile. when I asked for calamari I got calamari with french fries there were more french fries than calamari a party of 4. 2 of us wound up getting sick. This Was definitely my last stop at this place. Please revise your menu. I love calamari, calamari, and fries. Don’t go for me. And forget about the chicken wings More...

I’d like to give this place a higher rating because the food is really good and inexpensive. However, they never have enough cooks and wait staff. My husband and I walked in on a Saturday, got seated and then we were told it would take an hour for the food to come. Sorry, but we walked right out. It is best to come here on a weeknight. But even then we’ve waited for our food for a while. And never seems to be enough cooks. I wouldn’t mind waiting, but they don’t have anything on the table like bread Or chips or anything to nosh on in the meantime. So, if you’re really hungry this is not the place to come. They do not even offer you an alternative. Other than that, everyone is so polite and as I said when you do get your food it...
