Azteca Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Town of Wappinger

We came on a stormy night because we've passed the place in our travels and thought it looked nice. It's homey, bright and inviting inside too. The young man, who I assume, is the owner was friendly and generous. The waitress was sweet and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a small bowl of corn tortilla soup because the reviews of it were fabulous and the waitress said they could give that size which is not on the menu. It is as good as the reviews say. Excellent! They also gave my husband and brother in law a smaller portion to enjoy for no charge to taste. As main courses, I had a taco salad with chicken. The salad was fresh and delicious and the chicken was so tasty and juicy. The guys had fish, pork and chicken tacos and loved them. Our only regret was that our appetites wouldn't let us eat more because everything sounds great, so we'll have to come back! The margaritas were delicious and potent! I couldn't finish the second one that I couldn't help ordering. And then to top off the lovely experience they bought all three of us a full order of flan for dessert, again no charge. Maybe that was because the place was mostly empty due to it being a Monday night when it was absolutely pouring but they still had constant calls for take out. We asked and they also do all the delivery services .... grub hub, Uber eats etc. The gentleman said they use them all because each runs different specials, which I thought shows how they care about their customers. A great dinner, service and atmosphere. If you've passed by I'm sure you've noticed it. You should give it a try. They opened a few months ago and deserve to succeed! My wife and I had an amazing dinner last night at Azteca Grill and Bar! We started with drinks, a Modelo and a Margarita and an appetizer, Ceviche de Camarones, and tortilla chips and salsa, all were great! The ceviche was very rich in flavor with hints of cilantro and lime and much, much more. Before our dinner we were served a soup of chicken tortilla with sour cream and avocado. The flavor was rich and deep, it was very good. Our main courses were Cheese Enchiladas with Salsa Verde served with salad and Carne Asada with sauteed mushrooms, mashed potatoes and a very delicious sauce served with Grilled Jalapeños and salad. All the flavors were on point and very well-seasoned. Our dinner ended with coffee and the most amazing dessert, flan and sweet potato and strawberries with a chocolate sauce (I think there might have been some sort of berry in it too), thank you so much for the dessert and most delicious cafe! The plates were all beautifully plated and everything tasted great. But I guess I said that already. The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in to the end. We discovered this jewel less than 2 weeks ago, we have been there 3 times and they are great; Mexican , particularly Yucatan food , as if you were in Mexico; with typical exquisite flavors where details are taken into account thoroughly. Service is unsurpassed as well. The Cochinita Pibil and the tortilla soup (typical) are u of this world! Spectacular guacamole al molcajete and desserts as well. Things are carefully prepared, healthy and impeccable flavors. With a great meal service provided by then is every bit as excellent as the food. We are new to the area and have tried several other alternatives but recommend Azteca Grill and Bar one hundred percent, second to none, the best representation in Hudson Valley of Mexican food.
