Canepa’s Pizza Shop — Restaurant in Town of Warrensburg

I don’t understand how this pizza place has won awards or even has good reviews.

The brunette girl that answered the phone has terrible customer service skills and honestly should not be working there. We’ve heard this from countless people around the Lake George area (locals and tourist) that they refuse to go to the Pizza Shop because of her. (The girl that always wears the J.Needham shirt). She’s rude and obviously doesn’t care about providing quality service.

The girl with blonde/brunette hair is fabulous. She definitely picks up the slack of the other girl and should be the only one in the front/answering the phone.

The food was just not good. Maybe we have high expectations from traveling all around the United States and Italy, but it was simply bad. We had to throw the pizza out because we just couldn’t enjoy it. The next morning we all woke up with stomach pain and are convinced we got food poisoning.

(The salad was good, but anyone can make a salad.)

We were very excited to try a different place in the area and saw the reviews and awards, but we will not...

We asked a few locals where the best pizza in the area was and they said "it's not just the best pizza in the area, it's the best pizza in the world." So, we brought the whole family here to give it a try. The locals did not steer us wrong.

While I'm not ready to say it's the best pizza in the world I can definitely say it was great pizza. Our family has done Friday night pizza every Friday for the past 9 years and we've been traveling full time for the past year so we've had plenty of pizza and I will say this ranks highly.

We bought 3 pizzas - cheese, pepperoni, and a supreme. They were great and all the kids ate more than usual so I know they loved it. The Pizza Shop was also surprisingly affordable!

Like everybody out there I’ve had a lot of pizza from a lot of different places. I thought I knew what really good pizza was and then I decided to drive up and try out Canepa’s Pizza in Warrensburg. I tried the four cheese pizza with ricotta and from the first bite I was blown away. WOW!!! I’ve truly never had pizza this Amazing before. It really showed me how Phenomenal a slice of pizza can be. If you can make a simple cheese pizza taste this good you are truly doing something right. I’m going to remember that first bite for the rest of my life it was that good. If you haven’t checked this place out you must go. Even if it’s a long drive……Go….you can thank me later. It’s a bit of a drive for myself but this is my go to pizza shop...
