I'm reporting a very rude behavior from a manager named MARIA at Panera Bread at 5365 NY State Thruway, Westmoreland, NY 13490.
I was traveling with my family. We stopped by the rest area. We choose Panera Bread to buy our food from it. We used the self computer, kiosk, I'm not sure about the name. We have ordered an Italian sandwich with no ham, pork or bacon but Turkey inside. When my mom started eating she discovered a red meat inside the sandwich. I noticed that it's pork!
I went back to Panera Bread and told them the sandwich has pork! She called the manager MARIA who came and said there is no ham it's only salami and Turkey. I asked her about the Salami's ingredients. She said I don't know and told me to hold. Then she came back with a laptop saying it has pork! I told her we don't eat pork, ham or bacon because we are Muslim ! But we surprise that she said she doesn't care and she doesn't eat pork too! I told her when we make the order it didn't say the sandwich has salami! She said it doesn't say Salami but different name! I told her I didn't know about the different name ! They should mentioned has pork! But my mother and I were surprised that she said I don't care if you don't eat pork ! I asked her kindly to re-make the sandwich but she said I won't ! The was super rude and she was shouting! This is a discrimination about our religion that she said that to us!!! I can suit the restaurant because of that ! We ended up with through the whole sandwich...
Read moreIf I could give this Panera zero stars, I would. My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. First, I waited in line for what felt like an eternity – I could have gone to the DMV, waited for my number to be called, and still had time to make it back before I got my food.
After that endless wait, I discovered that half the menu wasn’t even available. No soups and no bread. I had to settle for something I didn’t even want, and it was clear the staff couldn’t have cared less.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, my friend ordered a tuna sandwich, but somehow was handed a roast beef sandwich instead. My friend was violently sick for days after eating it. Non-stop vomiting – I’m talking days. I have never seen someone suffer like that from a simple sandwich.
This Panera is a disaster. It’s like they forgot they were running a restaurant and just gave up halfway through. If you enjoy waiting forever for the wrong food and possibly food poisoning, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself and go literally...
Read moreI would NOT eat at this establishment! Infestation of fruit flies on the pastries, the lunch meats, and the vegetables that are being prepared to make your sandwiches. Bakers wear no gloves while preparing breads, bagels, and pastries because they bake in a 350 degree oven and it kills all bacteria? Gross! Line workers stock new food product and slap it on top of old expired product. Management does not care, they would rather let line workers sit around on their phones all day doing nothing! Nothing is ever cleaned! Soup station is disgusting, DO NOT eat the soup! Whatever crusted soup is on the pot from the time the place opened is their too stay, no one is hand scrubbing the dishes in the back, If you’re lucky they might rinse the pot down once a month, but dishwasher never even has soap! Line workers wear synthetic hair pieces with no hair nets, gloves, NO PPE to prepare your food! And yes, if you want to take the risk of eating here, I believe there are sick people preparing your food, Health Dept has...
