Today I went to study as I have done there numerous times. Over the past 1.5/2 years there has been a man who has ludicrous bumper stickers. The first time I saw them I asked about them inside and was told it was of an elderly man who goes pretty much everyday.
Today he sat next to me with his friend, and another dining couple were chatting. The things they were speaking of were disturbing and genuinely terrifying. And I realized I was sitting next to 4 white supremacists. I felt sick, and knew I could never come back if this was the target population. The cafe itself is very warm and welcoming however the people that go there have made me not want to return and create unsafe and unwelcoming environments. And I will not be returning. Just a great small town coffee shop that offers quality, fresh coffee and food, with art on the side, and with plenty of townies ready to converse should the desire arise.
We highly recommend their ScottsVillan, "the biggest and baddest sandwich in town.". It is a proper sub / hoagie / italian that is as big as a house with great quality cuts and lots of options.

Read moreThe coffee here is fine, mediocre. The decor and atmosphere are quite nice. It lives up to the small coffee house vibe. The service is the opposite what you would expect from a coffee stop. Slow, tedious, unfriendly at best, cranky at times. I have not tried the food since each time I am there I see a customer waiting an unreasonable amount of time for a panini. While a cookie is just a cookie here, I'll continue to frequent Artisan Coffee house since coffee is air and it's within walking distance...
