A very quaint, cozy diner found on the Main Street in the Village of Scottsville in rural upstate New York. Street parking is limited. You walk into the diner and sit wherever you'd like. Staff is friendly. It was super busy during breakfast on a Sunday morning, however, service was impeccable! Coffee was endless and our food came out very quick. The food was amazing. Grits were cooked perfectly. Sourdough toast was buttered and golden. Sunny side up eggs had the gooey yolk. Bacon was crispy. Home fries were delicious (not deep fried)! Meat lovers omelette was the star of the show. Filled with sausage, bacon and cooked to perfection. The diner is not huge but it was full. Since service is quick and excellent, the turnover rate moves along. Servers are continuously busy and helping patrons. It appeared to have a lot of regulars. Prices are great and very affordable. I would highly recommend Scottsville Diner and I will return when I'm in the area again.

Love this little diner. Food is awesome, service is fast and this place is always crowded. We tried to get here by nine and it was packed at that time. We did get a table and if you'd like, you can sit at the 'bar,' a long line of stools attached to a long table kind of like at a bar. They take cash or credit, phone orders for pick up. Cozy, nice atmosphere, kind of loud at times. I had the Mediterranean omelet, my kids had different variations of eggs, bacon or sandwiches and my husband had an Irish Eggs Benedict.

If you love a classic family diner that’s really owned and operated by a local family, be sure to stop by Scottsville Diner. The service is unbeatable and the meals are HUGE. You won’t find many gems like this anymore. We also ordered a couple omelettes, but we devoured them before we could get pictures. Too bad, because they were our favorite! They are giant and come with two generously portioned sides as well.

The Scottsville Diner is in a quaint little Village. It is a small warm and inviting establishment. The only thing with this place is that the wait there is very rude and snippy. I had ordered Eggs Benedict on more than one occasion. The last time I ordered it I was super excited. That is until the owner of the Diner brought me my breakfast plate and the eggs had separated, yes you got it! The yolks of my eggs were on the plate and the egg whites stayed on the English muffins. When I asked for new eggs the Owner TOLD ME "THAT IS THE WAY WE SERVE THEM", Really that is not how they were served to me many other times. Our family of 5 used to go a couple times a week. Now we maybe go once every other...

Fast service like they want you to leave before you even sit down. I had my check before I even finished my first 6 ounce cup of coffee, and no refill was even offered. I ordered Chicken soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Well, the grilled cheese was literally like I would've had as a little kid made by my mom, with inferior ingredients because kids don't care about quality. The Chicken soup? Equal quality. And by quality, I mean there wasn't any quality. Low sodium diet canned soup has better flavor. I love diners, but...
